Arrived starving after a busy day. Sent back fish and chips that was oozing grease and lying in a pool of it. Ordered a ‘luxury fish pie’ but having slid off the lid of mashed potato, after delving into to find unspoken items, including black...More

Had a pleasant overnight stay, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Would recommend agreeing your check in time in advance as the pub is not open all day.

Booked here for 5 nights while visiting PA Consulting, which is a 10-15 minute drive away. The accommodation is separate from the pub which removes you from the general noise associated with a pub, not that it was noisy. The room was clean and tidy...More

We had a very busy weekend with a number of staff not on duty when expected so it was a case of managing the situation as well as we could. Our server was hesitant to seat any guests for meals who hadn't booked as they...More

Excellent menu and lovely food. Wine was poor. Shiraz from South Australia.....sent over in a huge container and bottled in Germany. This is very poor and a rip off for customers even more so in a restaurant which serves such good food. Ambience perfect and...More

I came here with my boyfriend, his grandma and a couple of his cousins in April. It was such a cute little place, like stepping back in time. They catered for a vegan with a delightful curry (which I also had, as a carnivore) and...More

We both had the Chicken Cordon Bleu, it was honestly, without a doubt, the most delicious meal we have ever had. From start to finish. And the staff were so kind, nothing was too much trouble! You must go.
