We were staying next door at Margarets Cottage on a B&B basis we enjoyed our fine dining dinner on the two evenings we stayed there. I can only agree 100% with all the best reviews, this restaurant is outstanding in every rating. The staff are so friendly and helpful, whatever training these waitress and the lovely bar man get, it... More

The Staff are friendly to a fault if such a fault could exist. The modest facade hides a gem of a resturaunt with a pared down menu with every dish a masterpiece of the art of a professional kitchen, no sign of any wholesale catering basics of gravy stock or re-heated sauces. All ingredients cooked drom basics, stock from the... More

We ate here because it was near our B&B and had good reviews. We were not disappointed. I had the duck which was excellent followed by the cheese board which was amazing.

Group booking for lunch, exceptional value for 2 courses£10. Service good, ample portions of excellent food. Accompanied with 3 different potato dishes. Nice desserts, Especially loved the Eves pudding (apple sponge) served with custard or choice of cream or icecream. Great to see this old favourite on a menu. Only extra tea, coffee. Staff all very pleasant and helpful.

I had the pleasure of having lunch in Aldo's Restaurant. What a treat. Place was so busy on a Wednesday afternoon. I had lasagne and it was the nicest meal I have had in a long time. So delighted to see this place so busy. We will definitely be back

Aldos is a special place. I ate here about 20 years ago and the experience was unforgetable, especially as they went out of their way to cater for two vegetarians (and there weren't many places did that back then). Circumstances prevented me from returning more often but I have done so now twice in the space of a month. I... More

Excellent local restaurant. Lunch is particularly good value. A limited menu but brilliant value. I had cod and chorizo. Delicious and worthy of a Michelin starred restaurant.
