Visited with my family, the galettes were great and had lovely fillings. I had andouilles, others had the scallops, and the blini burger was lovely too.

Only regret is not trying the blini burger which looked amazing. Crepes hot, light and fresh. My younger brother said it was the best crepe he's ever tasted and that's a real complement for someone who has tasted quite a few. Reasonably priced and seemed...to be a popular spot with the locals. Village is really nice for a stroll around though I recommend booking if wanting to get a table...More

Easy to park outside, and a very enjoyable and tasty Breton lunch - galettes and cider, all well done, despite our arriving at almost the end of lunch service. Comments from other reviewers are all reinforced by our own visit. Well worth a detour to...a pretty village.More

Looking for a quick lunch in the centre of Moncontour, and right in the middle is this small restaurant. Very welcoming proprietor, prompt service and very good food. Galettes to start, served with wonderful chips and green salad, and crepes to finish. Whole place immaculate,...Good coffee, very pleasant rose (wine of the month), and the whole was outstanding value. Couldn't really ask for much more!More

I ate here twice recently, as our favourite place was closed for the holidays, and we had visitors to show around. This is a fairly attractive restaurant on the main square of beautiful, mediaeval Moncontour. In nice weather, there is outside seating too. What I...like here is that if you've had enough of eating pancakes (the Breton speciality), there are other options: pizza, omelettes, burgers etc. What I like less is the rather perfunctory service; I never feel really welcome here! The service is competent (no wrong orders, no long waiting) but just not very friendly.More

We were the first people to be seated outside and were met by a friendly young man. We ordered three different dishes for lunch: pizza, burger & bacon omelette. The burger and omelette were served with lovely chips and a small salad. Presentation was good...and all the food was tasty. Service was a little slow, but it was busy so understandable. Situated in the main square, you can't miss it. We would return.More

This small family run restaurant i well worth a visit. We went as a party of 4 and everyone rated it as place to return to on our next visit to Moncontour. I'm not a great fan of crepes but had a hamburger instead which...was excellent. The owner speaks a little English and provides service with French smile. you get good service excellent food at a budget price - what more could you ask for. We will certainly be returning to Au Coin du Feu on our next visit to Moncontour a much-favoured town in this part of Brittany.More

We were staying in a Gite nearby so decided to try out this local place out of season. We had Pizza, galettes and wine. The pizzas were good ( I've had better but also worse) the galettes were also good. The wine recommended was also...excellent and cheap for the quality ( 16 euros ). We sat outside to get the views of the Town centre which is a good option. The staff speak some English which is helpful when ordering. Be careful ordering as the menu contains some items which are 'unusual' for non French.More

The food, mainly Galletts and crepes, but good pizzas to. Friendly waitress who spoke excellent English. Worth a visit for informal meal.
