Even though the location is looking tired it is still comfortable and the hospitality, service and food are fantastic.

Nice people, good service. Good location, right on the TCH. As for the hotel, older rooms, stale smelling, needs updating.

The Mount Peyton Hotel is in need of some refurbishment. The room appear tired and outdated and our bathroom could have been a lot cleaner. Staff are friendly enough but the building needs work.

After a long day on the road, we decided to try out the hotel restaurant, which, hotel eateries can sometimes can be an iffy proposition. This was a pleasant surprise. There was a nice selection of menu items. The service was quite slow, but friendly. The food was very good, very tasty, and the prices were reasonable. The pleasant atmosphere... More

If you are in the Central area on a Friday night and want someshere to go that isn't blocked with teenagers, then the Mount Peyton is an excellent choice. They have local entertainment every Friday with a mixture of Traditional, Country, , Newfoundland, Irish and Old time rock and roll music. You can order steaks or burgers or wings or... More

Years ago, this used to be a great hotel and restaurant. Now its kinda tired, the staff are a bit slow and unmotivated. We made reservations the night before, showed up and everyone was surprised, even the woman who had taken the reservation! They fit us in to an empty restaurant. The Fishcakes were good Salmon, okay steak not bad... More

This restaurant is at the back of the hotel. On entering, we were surprised at the country and western theme in Newfoundland, and the C&W music was very, very dated (like the hotel in general). Restaurant is very dim, supposedly for ambience, but really more annoying. Food was adequate, but uninspiring and inferior to the nearby 48 West.

Hotel dated but reasonably clean. Our TV did no5t work and we were in a room with a very old and loud air conditioning unit. TV was replaced. Maintenace staff helpful but unable to fix air conditioning. Front staff polite and friendly however had to ask to be moved. We moved from an executive room to a standard. Ironically the... More

We were very apprehensive when we walked in because we had to walk through a long hallway and the dining room was too dark. However, the staff welcomed us immediately and were very attentive. Seven in our party, we ordered steak, scallops, salmon, etc (a wide range of menu options) and everyone was pleased with their food; they must have... More

Peyton Corral Steakhouse is a little dark & in need of a makeover but staff was great & service timely. Food was cooked to order but prices may be a bit high.
