Stopped in with a group of friends after a long hike. The menu is fairly basic and, given it's Tremblant, a bit overpriced. I got the dynamite burger and upgraded my fries to Poutine. The burger was only alright - it was pretty small and honestly, it was on par with a burger for Wendy's. Which would be fine had... More

Good good and great staff. You get a great view of the mountain. You can sit outside or inside and watch your family ski down the mountain. Good was yummy and the staff was very pleasant. Our friends had some good issues since it was Passover and lent. The restaurant had no issue whatsoever accommodating the dietary requests.

Causal and friendly service. Great lively atmosphere. Love how accommodating they were to skiers strutting in in boots. Appreciate that the server spoke English. Would like to have gone at the end of the ski day because it seems like a great place for a couple beers!

Our group had mixed experiences of this restaurant. It sells poutrine, the local dish of fries, gravy and cheese curd, which apparently is delicious. My partner had ribs which were good and I had a piece of chicken on a bun with a Caesar salad, not very exciting. My friend had to send her salmon back to the kitchen as... More

The good: views of the mountains, sports on TV, friendly vibe, a terrasse for warm weather, reasonably priced food, good draft beer. It hits all the apres ski buttons, in a family friendly way. The bad: well, if it wasn't apres ski and slope side, we'd be comparing this to a well run Applebee's or Chili's as that is sort... More

If you don't mind the wait during weekend lunchtime, you won't be disappointed at the delicious offerings here. What a wide variety of choices for sandwiches, burgers and salads! It became our picky kids' favorite restaurant during our ski vacation. The French Onion soup and poutine were the best I had in Canada. The hostess was very attentive giving us... More

We usually stop here for lunch when we visit Mont Tremblent. They have great drinks, great service at the bar and very good food. The portions are very good, and the value is great for what you get. There is an area to sit outside and tables inside. We always sit at the bar, which is a great experience. We... More

Liked very much the huge smoked meat poutine. The wine list is interesting. The pea soup was very disappointing, not at all typical and served only with little crackers. The ambiance is nice, great view on the slope. Ok service, could improve.

Dear geebe, I am happy that you enjoyed the smoked meat poutine, it is actually one of our favorite dish! On the other hand, I am sorry to hear that the rest of your lunch did not achieve your expectation. Stopped here for a bite on our first night. Located at the base of the mountain with some nice views. Both my wife and I had burgers, they were really good. Tasted like fresh beef. The fries were just ok but the burgers were so good we didn't care. One of the larger restaurants in the village which was nice... More

Description
One of the most popular restaurants in Tremblant’s pedestrian village, Le Shack stands on the original site of the Chalet des Voyageurs, built by the legendary Joe Ryan in 1939 at the foot of the south side of Mont Tremblant. Philadelphia-born Joe Ryan was an eccentric millionaire and a visionary. With encouragement from his wife Mary and a parish priest, Father Deslauriers, Ryan founded the second ski resort in North America: Mont Tremblant Resort. During the 1940s and 50s, the Chalet des Voyageurs was the preferred meeting place of skiers, who’d congregate after a day on the slopes to swap stories with friends. With its warm and cozy atmosphere, Le Shack carries on this tradition of offering the best après-ski in Tremblant. The “Shack” – so named for the Quebec “sugar shack” in tribute to the longstanding tradition of shacks erected for the spring maple syrup season – recreates the spirit of good times with good friends. To honour Joe Ryan and perpetuate the tradition of the sugar shack, the folks at Resto-Bar Le Shack welcome you for your après-ski gatherings at the foot of Mont Tremblant.
