Even with a reservation, we waited 30 minutes to be seated, then another 20 minutes to get our cocktails. Apparently, there is no bartender because our drinks were almost undrinkable. Food was mediocre. Our server was delightful, though, and the only part of the experience that we enjoyed.

We had not been here in 12 years and were concerned that it would not be as good as we remembered. We were wrong. The service was outstanding and the food was exceptional. Our server Renee was attentive and answered all questions we had about the menu. It is not the cheapest place to eat, but the food and service... More

I was so looking forward to this meal. I remember that the food was wonderful other times i stopped. I had mussel in cream no cream just milk in bottom of bowl. I ordered rack of lamb, which i love, 4 small pieces not well cooked for 39$. Potatoes and carrots pureed like baby food, and green beans which were... More

We stayed at De la Republique provincial park for a stop over while traveling back to Hamilton from an east coast tour. We asked a couple of locals for a good restaurant close by and we were recommended subway, McDonald's and a wood oven pizza place. I asked about Les Jardins but was told it was just a motel. From... Excellent food and service. A little expensive. Less expensive menu would be useful - sandwiches. Breakfast was minimal.

After an experiment with a gourmet hamburger menu for a short time in the summer, and a brief closure in Oct, we are much relieved that a new chef from Quebec City is providing the great cuisine we have experienced in the past at the Auberge. The menu is smaller - only 3 appetizers and 8-9 entrees at this time... More

The fiddlehead soup is superb, but only hamburgers and chicken burgers for dinner. The fine French Cuisine has disappeared.

we had a light fare because we arrived so late, the Caesar salad was more than adequate. Next time, I would definitely try the seafood chowder - it looked amazing

We booked to stay the night not expecting much on a voyage to Cape Breton. WOW were we ever impressed! Accommodations were immaculate and beautifully furnished with antiques. Our first meal/experience was so good we went out of our way to stop over for another night on our return trip. We were impressed that value for dollar is there in... More
