I was initially drawn to this gem by the music pouring out onto the quiet street! Whimsical statues, signs and the sweet smell of apple strudel sealed the deal! I walked through the doors and entered something which I had not expected! Eclectic is not...More

Very friendly staff and amazing German food! Great hospitality, even helping us try to find a hotel in the area. The mustard selection is great too! Been here twice now in the past year and it's still a place to go to! Highly recommended!

This is an extremely funky and eclectic restaurant specializing in German food and drink. The pork hocks were really delicious accompanied by homemade mustard and German beer. The homemade sauerkraut was also some of the best I have tasted. The table service was very good.

Lots of atmosphere, good beer, good schnitzels, popular with tourists. Convenient if you are parked up and don't want to walk far.

The lunch special was very good, along with the beer and wine. Waitress was great, and Chef Bernard greeted us.

The German theme mussel appetizer were the best muscles I've ever had... However, the steak and prawn dinner I had was very mediocre at best!!!

We got the dinner-for-two special. Waitress was pleasant but seemed a bit ditzy and forgetful, not classy at all. Schnitzels were good, salad was very good, sausage was OK. I was given five 500ml(!) home-labelled jars of different mustards to try. Probably against food regulations...More

We went on a side trip to Kimberley and it was worth it just for the cheese fondue at Chef Bernard's. It was the apple strudel (displayed outside) that caught our attention but it was the cheese fondue that would bring us back! Such a...More
