After a long day at the Badminton Horse Trials we decided to pop here on the off chance, as it looked lovely from the outside. We were not disappointed! Even though the pub was very busy (nearly all tables were reserved) they made room for us. Friendly and very efficient staff. A lovely menu with generous portions (I had the... More

Had a light lunch of sandwiches for both of us. Food was basic with not much trimmings. Not worth the price. Don't buy the bottled water very expensive £8.20 for 1LT and £2.60 for 330ml.

We got totally hemmed in by the madness that was trying to exit Badminton Horse Trials. My companion suggested phoning the Crown which she had liked the look of as we were stuck in the traffic jam on the way to Badminton. It was obviously well booked up being a Saturday night but after explaining our dilemma and not being... More

It is in the middle of nowhere. Limited choice so only option for pub grub. The interior is relatively pleasant and the staff were nice, helpful and efficient. Fish and chips and coffee was about £13. It was a bit disappointing, very greasy and not very tasty. The parking is very limited. I think I will keep driving next time... More

My Wife and I visited with some good friends, our visit was generated on the back of a recommendation. Ambiance was OK. Early Saturday evening, didn't have choice of wine, seemed only interested in offering one type ? Didn't have choice of Main Dish for and of us. Ended up having a rather expensive Fish & Chips !! Not Impressed... More

My wife and I travelled from Royal Wootton Bassett to chance eating here without booking. There were adequate tables without reservation tags and staff were very accommodating. We have eaten at this establishment quite a few times over the years, generally for lunch, which have always been good. My wife had the fish of the day with chips and minted... More

I have driven place this pub/restaurant a number of times and it looked lovely so me and my partner choose to visit for a week day lunch, on arrival I was pleasantly surprised, lovely well maintained with great rooms to stay in adjacent to the pub. There isn't a great friendly welcome but we found somewhere to sit and then... More

I stayed here overnight on the way to Cornwall. I have eaten here before so I know the food is good. Tried the White Onion Soup and the Pie and Mash( Lamb) both were very good and I enjoyed the meal. Breakfast the next morning was also very good, big selection of cooked items as well as cereals and croissants.... More

The Crown is ideally located just off the A46 and about 1 mile from the M4, and although there was some road noise, it didn't disturb us. The room was comfortable and well-equipped. The meal in the restaurant in the evening was very good, with some nice twists on pub classics and the full English next morning was very tasty.
