This restaurant is family run and has a certain funkyness Middle Eastern style. Nothing too fancy and nice and clean and always busy which shows how much it is liked. We have had two great occasions to eat here with different friends and everyone enjoyed the meal...you have to try the Ali Baba and the bread is special in that... More

I have been here a few times and love it, especially the lavash bread and incredible yogurt sauce that goes with it. It's cooked in a traditional wood oven. I could make a meal of just that bread. It's sooooo good. This time I had a baked beef/vegetable dish that was OK. I do prefer the grilled meat plates with... More

Anatolia's Gate is a fantastic Turkish food stand in an unassuming store front in Burnaby. Focused primarily on grilled meats and salads - the portions are huge. On my last visit, I had the Beyti Sarma: a skewer of ground beef and lamb kofte served with lavash bread with salads ($19). I almost burst. The Mixed Kabob ($22) is a... More

We've been going here for years and have introduced several people to it. It is a very plain, unassuming place but the food is fantastic. The restaurant is nothing to rave about, old pictures on the wall and old tables and chairs kinda thing but who cares when the food is this good. The lavash, a flat bread cooked in... More

This one of the good places for Mediterranean food, the name indicates Turkish cuisine. the place is cozy but not fancy, food is good but I doubt any of the chefs is Turkish. I tasted this food in Istanbul and I can say that it is not the same but at least is a good place to find this kind... More

We were visiting Vancouver over the weekend and looked for good food near us. We found good reviews for this restaurant and headed over. We ordered the hummus as a starter and we just fell in love with the fresh, crisp bread that came with it! It was very good and a must try. We later came in again just... More

I've driven by this little non descript restaurant on Kingsway for a few years and watched as it became busier. Friday night hubby and I couldn't make a decision about what to eat and driving by Anatolia's there was a parking spot. We were hungry, too lazy to cook so we went it. Looking at the menu we were uncertain... More

We tried this Turkish restaurant for the first time and enjoyed the food. The dishes and flavours are similar to those found in Greek, Meditterranean or Persian restaurants. The presentation of the food as well as the decor is not exactly exciting. For the most part the food is presented on the plate in neat little portions of rice, salad... More

I had lunch there a couple of time. They have authentic Turkish food and they make everything fresh, but portions are not enough for me. I don't eat a lot, but i am not sure why each time I ate there, I did not feel full. Customer service is good and I guess is a family business. My suggestion to... More

Place is clean and food is terrific. Fresh baked bread with each serving. Hands down great food and strongly recommend it.
