This is my favorite restaurant in Courtenay, we go out of our way to make sure we eat here every time we travel near Courtenay. They have a separate gluten free menu with plenty of delicious choices, and they have a dedicated gluten free deep fryer so that there is no chance of cross contamination. I am a celiac and... More

This result has a huge menu for people who are gulten free and vegan. They also have lots of vegetarian dishes for those who just don't want meet. Food is served quickly and is hot. Dessert is on the smaller size, though the sundae looked like there was lots to offer. This is our second time there and will be... More

I recently ate dinner at the union Grill, I don't usually have much luck with steaks. This time I hit the jackpot, I ordered my steak medium rare, wonders of wonders...it was just as I ordered.. I was part of a party of 16 so I was a reluctant to ask for a steak when there were so many meals... More

My wife and I both enjoyed our meals very much. Great service and excellent food. We were both surprised how well they did the prawns. My wife is an amazing cook and I'm usually disappointed with restaurant prawns, but not this time! We'll be back.

The plates are huge. The part of the plate where the food is placed was about the size of a soup bowl. Honestly I feel like I was given a half order of the Jumbalaya compared to other places on the Island for similar dishes for less money. It tasted very good the staff was fine.

Great food, good staff, one of my favorites in Courtenay, They have a great gluten free menu for those who are gluten sensitive as well. The server we talked to was really interested in any feed back we had .

We stopped at the Union Street Grill while in town and thought it was a quaint and eclectic restaurant. After being seated, our waiter Che served us a Lighthouse Lager and a Cumberland Brewing Tropical, both excellent micro-brewed pints. We decided to split the Lamb Burger, and although the meat was tasty and the burger was well presented, it was... More

New owners but same good food. This place has been there since Noah was a boy. Quinoa salad is amazing and big enough to share. Risotto is to die for! Service a bit slow.

Was in town for business and ate here first night. Had the West Coast Shellfish pasta dish and it was DELICIOUS!!! So good that I decided to go back here for dinner my second night. Had the Southern Beef Ribs and they were just okay. Nothing special and wished I had ordered something else instead. Expected much bigger flavors based... More
