The windows were papered over as of April 1st but I am told it has been bought by the Gladstone Brewing guys. So, let's wait and see what kind of cool place opens here next! It was always a good gathering spot but likely needed...More

We went for breakfast needing gluten free food. They knew what gluten free means (which is not easy to find in most restaurants) & were able to sub out the sausage for bacon in the scramble. The portions are HUGE so you will need a...More

Being extreme creatures of habit, once we find a place we feel comfortable that's our spot. Zocalo Cafe is our favourite place for breakfast in Courtenay. The first time we visited we were just looking for a coffee and wifi. We like everything about this...More

A nice place to grab a coffee and read while walking downtown. There's lots of space to move which is nice and different art work.

Great atmosphere, a really good reasonably priced breakfast & of course, good coffee. Roomy and open with rotating presentation of work by immensely talented local artists. Great place to listen to some wonderful music.

Lots of options and I was satisfied with a veg burger along with some baked rosemary potato wedgies & garlic mayo. I was just happy to find a veg friendly cafe on a Sunday afternoon. Staff are friendly and hospitable.

The Zocalo is aptly named, because it serves as the most attractive and convenient downtown meeting place for many people in the Comox Valley. But there's more: the coffee, food, and service never disappoint, and with its friendliness and popularity there's a good chance you'll...More
