The atmosphere in the Royal is amazing! No matter where you come from or how you look like, this bar/lounge really has that Nelson vibe and open-mindedness. Nights with different bands as well as the bi-weekly "Church" gathering on Sunday allows you to go up...More

It's not the prettiest bar in town but it often offers live music and drink specials. The food is ok and is better than the Uptown Sports Bar, I recommend the Royal Burger.

Myself and friends enjoy the later aft. special, a falafel or burger and a draft beer for only 10 bucks. Now where do you find such a fun special especially in Nelson . Love it!

We stopped by for a few drinks during the monthly night market. We had a seat on the patio and enjoyed some great live acoustic music. Very well-priced beer and service was good and friendly.

Busy historic place. I ordered a Greek style donair which was very tasty with a porter beer on tap. It was interesting to sit out at the sidewalk patio and people watch. Our server did a good job and was very friendly.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and a beer. Beer selection is small, however the food was great. Worth a stop, has good a/c which is a plus as well.

Visited recently with friends for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. Though the outside doesn't look spectacular the inside was spacious and I would say the bar was remodeled. There was a band doing a sound check so it was a bit loud but that didn't...More
