Even if you want to offer an uptown version of Japanese sushi, classic pop rock really isn't your best choice for background music. The menu, while fairly traditional, really didn't measure up to standard. I opted for Miso soup and an assortment of Tempura. The soup was good but again nothing special. The Tempura was the big disappointment. Think of... More

Really tasty and fresh, made while we waited. The miso soup was a lovely warming accompaniment to the sushi.

Had the California rolls miso soup, ebi ebi and a few more items. All were quite good but not overly great. I found the prices to be a little high compared with other sushi restaurants outside of Revelstoke. Service was good and the atmosphere was nice.

This restaurant wins my support for the helping hand given to a family whose tragedy was shared in a "happy" way with many of our locals

Ate here on our way out to the coast and returned again on our way back home. The food was EXCELLENT both times. The rolls are delicious and the homemade wontons and gyoza are amazing. Would def recommend and would come back for sure!!

This restaurant was right across the street from our hotel which is why we choose it. We ordered a combination plate which was very nice.

Discovered this place while driving through Revelstoke as my wife had a rice craving and what a great find! They were just closing for the afternoon as it was 2 pm but they let us order takeout and I was surprised to find that they only served wild salmon! This is something that many of the cheap sushi places in... More

The Kawakubo is a world class restaurant in a beautiful, exciting town. We had and shared a California roll with spicy salmon, tempura shrimp, and a chef's roll with tuna. Salmon, and hamachi. Each was prepared to perfection. The sticky rice held together but wasn't at all gummy. The rolls had so much fish, so fresh you could taste the... More

The food here is always amazing. Great staff, will accommodate gluten free/diary free diets, and be nice about it! Lunch specials are killer.
