About
Mudtown Station is a gastropub and brewery on the east harbour of Owen Sound. The building is a newly renovated CPR rail station built in 1947. The original features of the building have been retained including the birch paneling, tile floors, ticket wicket, and telephone booth. A more urban feel with industrial decor graces our bar area and Mudtown offers the best patio in the area with waterview in a quiet green space on the harbour. Come enjoy our innovative cuisine and a selection of craft beers from our 12 taps. We source our ingredients locally and craft our dishes in house. The menu has lunch and dinner options to enjoy with our beer selection, wine and mixed drinks are also available

One of our must stops when in the area. A great variety of foods to accommodate everyones tastes. The burger... honestly one the best we have ever had.

In my view Mudtown Station brews some of the best beers on the Lake Huron coastline and indeed in Grey, Bruce, Huron and Middlesex counties. Their Marzen, IPAs, stouts, mild beer, lagers and ales are superb. In addition, the food created on site is highly...original, delicious and creative, and consistently provides a wide range of new taste experiences. The soups are wonderful, and as a soup-maker myself, I wish I could do as well! The menu is on a chalk board; no table menus. The atmosphere created from the old train station is excellent as is the service. The brew-master is a lady who is modest about her wonderful beers, even when you tell her how good they are. Likewise, the chef simply creates some of the best food I've tasted anywhere. If you think my rating is over the top, I have just 2 words of advice: TRY IT!More

If you’re looking for a good burger I mean a really good burger this is the place. Cooked on a hot flat top to have a nice crust that keeps them juicy. (My go to burger place is the Keg which does great grilled burger.)...My wife had the salad with hers which she really enjoyed but I think she liked my cottage fries more. They’re not what you think fries are their chunks of potato, fried to have a crunchy crust that did not go soggy. Oh ya there is beer too. Well done! We will be back next time Owen Sound.More

We went for lunch. I had a tangy curry soup and a green salad. Both were tasty. I would have preferred a little something more in the salad than just the greens but that is what it was called after all. My partner had their...interesting take on poutine and quite enjoyed it. (The burger the guy next to me had looked great, too.) I also had the oatmeal stout which was quite good. The staff were friendly and attentive. We were on a mini weekend trip and this was the best food of the weekend.More

I spent four days in Owen Sound and the surrounding area. We ate at this restaurant twice, so I think that speaks for its' self. The other party is a chef!

My boyfriend and I visited this brewery in March. We loved it. It is a beautiful old train station and the interior and exterior of the building have been very well preserved. The beers were excellent too. Looking forward to visiting it again the next...time we're in Owen Sound!More

Very good beer, menu wasn’t as satisfying. Not a lot of apps to choose from. Their seasonal sour is really good (not your average sour beer).

Had lunch here today and the experience was as fantastic as the weather was and it was a warm blue sky day by the water on Georgian Bay so who could ask for more. I had the charcuterie board and my lunch date had the...chicken kabab. Everything was from scratch, right down to the pickles and grainy mustard. Meats, cheeses and bread were top notch. I contemplated taking a bite of the chicken kabab but was afraid id get a fork in my hand so im guessing it was good as well. Strawberry apple crumble with vanilla ice cream topped it off perfectly and the staff were awesome...As with most things in life, what made it memorable was the special person at the table with meMore

My spouse and I went for dinner on a Saturday night in August. We did not make reservations, but they were able to accommodate us, even though they were very busy at 7:00. The outdoor patio is lovely. On the harbour, with what is an...amazing view of the sunset, and usually enjoys nice breezes. I had the smoked chicken special, which was very good, while my wife opted for the old favorite, the Whip Burger.... Messy and delicious. I enjoyed a 4 flight tasting of beers, of which all good toe excellent. My wife ordered a glass of Argentinian which was so good, we asked to see the label so we could plan on purchasing. No room for desert (I took half my chicken home)More

Pros: - great atmosphere - had a few vegan options. The grilled cauliflower was amazing! - lots of outdoor seating - QR code on each table to view the menu so less paper waste and safer during covid Cons: - some outdoor seating is uncomfortable...picnic tables - appetizers weren't brought out on time so the server said they would be complimentary but we were charged for them anyway - no vegan dessertsMore

Re: Menu prices - I don't remember being upset at the price so I believe the apps were between $8-12 and the mains between $18-26 CDN. Whatever they were, it was worth it and we didn't think twice about the $.
