We were promised for teppanyaki that there will be entertainment. The chef said nothing to us. Food was expensive and taste was average. Nobody else inside.

I know this is popular place but I travel allot and I find this Resturant average at best. It's been there along time and I think it needs a Reno to spruce it up abit. If you're in the area try it but I certainly would not drive from far away

Went there for my sister-in-law's birthday. I have to say that the service at this restaurant wasn't bad at all. However, the general dining experience was so great. Sitting with us (a party of 4) was another party of 6, including 2 school age kids. We had no problem sitting with kids. At one point though, maybe for the tips... More

I invited a colleague for a special occasion to a dinner and made reservation for 6 pm for a specific table. After we arrived and was waiting to be seated, it seemed the manager was not in a good mood and having a loud argument in chinese with two of her co-workers and she ignored us waiting for our table.... For the price and food quality is okay good. But I am unreasonably picky person on the cuisine. It is a Chinese run restaurent well decorated in Japanese style with staff and chef groomed in Japanese costume, offered Japanese style food, but nevertheless it is not Japanese. Like I said, I am picky, the rice should be done differently, it... More

We visited here on Mar 14 with 11 of us. Teppanyaki was good. The chef was very entertaining and made the dinner a memorable one. Food was excellent. Portion is good. We only ordered 8 teppanyaki dinner, two sashimi plates to share and that was enough for all of us. This is not a bargain teppanyaki place but I find... More

I have only been there a couple of times ... once for dinner and the other time for lunch. Their sushi and sashimi are better than most Japanese restaurants in Richmond Hill. However, I found it too pricey while there are many decent choices in the area.

Teppanyaki Table Top cooking in front of you this is what it's all about. You share a table with others though. Everything is cooked in front of you. The 2 people in my party shared only one order and one side dish of tempura shrimps. It also included rice and soup and one 2 main small entrees. Bill was 62.50... More

lots of entertainment and the food is made before your eyes. the restaurant is usually quite busy so reservations are a good idea. sushi is kind of overpriced so i usually stick with the table cooking teriyaki.

I'm a sushi fanatic, and I must say that Akasaka is the closest comparison to Japan... They import fresh fish from the Tsujiki market I've been told by a waitress. I've been to Japan and I've longed for a hunt for some good o-toro and here at Akasaka I've found the freshest sashimi selection for me :) They also have... More
