A friend and I went last night to give Raintree a try. First, love that they switched to a plant based menu, as vegan options in the kw region are limited. The place itself is a small cafe, but has a cute atmosphere. The food was great, especially the rolls. Portions are on the small side, but I eat a... More

I met some friends here for lunch. The menu is brief. I had the BLT wrap. It was not a BLT. It was mostly lettuce and runny dressing. It had some pork belly and a token cherry tomato. There were limited cold drinks. I had the pleasant enough ginger lemonade. We ordered the artichoke dip which was the highlight of... More

Loved the BLT wrap, and previously I've had a curry dish that was fabulous. This place is a great find, and you can easily walk out spending less than $12 on your meal.

Seasonal menu items, and long time favorites make this a refreshing stop. Attentive servers and a good atmosphere all lend to a unique experience.

Used to be a great place for a light lunch. Today's lunch was well below the quality that we were expecting. I think what was most disturbing is that our server came by and asked how our meal was. Our response was "terrible". At the point the server made a quick exit never be seen again. There is little chance... More

I somehow always want to go to the Raintree on my birthday - it's a great little place to go as a couple or with a small group. The plaza it's in isn't the nicest, but the restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. The food never disappoints - get the home made iced tea, Venus dip, and soups! This is one... More

Two of us had lunch. There were three tables in the restaurant when we arrived and one more came in after us. The service was painfully slow. I ordered a special tea and twice sent it back as I was given regular tea. We ordered two cups of soup and two meals. Our soup took so long in arriving we... More

Just loved this restaurant, great food, service and the fact that it wasn't a cookie cutter, same old same old little restaurant. Great select of food for everyone, vegan and gluten free options as well. I would recommend giving them a try!

Tried the pasta which was served hot and tasted nice. It was fresh and I enjoyed my meal. Will always come here for Italian food and recommended the place to many people I know

This place used to be a gem, however new owners have really let this place down. From poor decore, to cheap food all the way to bad service. It wont be long before this place closes its doors as customer service is last at this location.

Raintree Café has been a favourite restaurant in Waterloo for nearly 20 years. We are starting a lively new chapter in the Tree's history under new Owner and Chef Paul Cummings. Paul's passion for fresh, local, healthy food is a perfect match for Raintree. Our new Menu is plant based, fully vegetarian and full of excitment and flavour.
