Dropped for breakfast, was actually the first one in the door just after 8:00 AM. Ordered an omelette, toast and coffee. Coffee was weak, like really weak. The omelette was greasy and the hash browns were literally swimming in grease. It was hands down the worst example of breakfast that I have seen in many moons. Very nice lady was... More

Under new ownership. An institution in Steveston. Cheery service but our lunch was soooo greasy spoon we all got heartburn. But at least there are new chairs!

A quick, cheap place to go for lunch. The food was good for the price, service was good. The only downside was that there was clearly no heat on! No mention of it, but the server was wearing a winter jacket. Also my Reuben could use a lot more sauerkraut.

I went there for the very first time due to the good recommendations from Trip Advisor. I enjoyed the good food, the quiet atmosphere, the excellent service which the coffee was refilled in a non-stopped way. In the end, the price is fair so I will surely visit there again soon!!!

The food was really nice and plentiful. The inside seemed like it would benefit from an update, but having said that it was really clean and tidy.

We have just had the greatest Sunday morning. We walked along the dyke from Terra Nova Park to Steveston ( about 7 kms) on a beautiful morning. The scenery along the walk is excellent with numerous birds and views to satisfy any walker and nature lover. The walk is flat and easy. At Steveston there are numerous restaurants but we... More

You will recognize this cafe from the Once Upon a Time as Grnny's Cafe. Disappointment alert - the inside was nothing like the TV show and the staff acted like they did not know about the show. A disappointment for our daughter. Food was mediocre.

This place might not be the most polished one, but the food was good. Kind of a no fuss place that serves the real thing.

Great potential: atmosphere and food. Service not so much. No welcoming smile or acknowledgement when you come in, in fact it's more like they ignore you. The table was dirty as was my cup and no one seemed inclined to care or clean. That aside, the muffin I had was great and they had decent teapots for tea. The hot... More

This was a stop we knew we were making as my wife is a fan of the TV show Once Upon a Time. We were happily surprised that the food was good, and the service was quick. We had breakfast plates. The sign they use for the show is hidden inside the Cafe's sign hanging out front. They clearly don't... More
