Have been going to these Tea Rooms for around 50 years. Fresh Scones, Clotted Cream and Home Made Jam. During these pandemic days things are bound to be different - see photo. Frozen scone heated in a microwave (they'd run out of fresh ones so...they had no other option), thick (not clotted) cream and supermarket jam. I'd love to give a 5/5 when normal service is restored after complete easing of lockdown. Tough to run a cafe under current circumstances so good luck to them for at least staying open and offering a service. Cost of Cream Tea by the way was £6.50.More

I was only going to have a toasted tea cake from the takeaway hatch after my run, but then spotted they had filled oatcakes on the menu! Just the ticket. I opted for side salad but no coleslaw. It arrived hot and delicious in just...a few minutes. Happy bunny!More

Stopped on the off chance (during COVID), for a light lunch and not disappointed. We both had toasted sandwiches which on first reflection we felt pricey, however on arrival as takeaways the were very filled and accompanied by a salad and coleslaw, so in fact...very good value. The coffee was excellent.More

We had a lovely breakfast here today. It’s a really cute and quaint village tea room with cakes, baps, paninis, scones and the local oat cakes. Was reasonably priced and well spaced out for social distancing.

I can only deduce that there has been a change of ownership - or attitude - since the poor reviews were posted, because I enjoyed my visit. No complaints. The service was warm and friendly, the coffee excellent, and crumpets very good. The amount of...seating may be limited, but the premises were clearly a little old cottage at one time, and there is adequate space for customers to sit comfortably. Well done for a good local community facility. Can happily recommend and will go back next time I find myself in Hartington.More

My wife and I called in to the Beresford Tearoom on Tuesday the 4th of February. I had a bowl of really nice vegetable soup and my wife had Bakewell tart with custard they were excellent. We both also had a cup of hot chocolate...which was really welcome after a long cold walk. Will definitely be recommending this place to others.More

Lovely tea rooms in the centre of Hartington with a cosy feel and quite possibly the smallest post office I have ever seen. The staff are lovely and the oatcakes are just the best...loaded with a full English and topped with a fried egg. Simply...divine...I urge you to try it. The best cafe in Hartington.More

Used this tearoom a few time for breakfast, but brought my partner here for a cuppa on a tour of the peaks. Always a good friendly service and good food and drink.

This tea room is also the post office and has other goods for sale. We found the staff to be welcoming and helpful. The tables are kept clean and tidy. This is quite a popular place as there is a large turnover of customers, some...of whom seem to be regulars. We had good coffees and an excellent scone and fruity toasted tea cake, other snacks are available at reasonable prices. Give it a try.More

Despite being close to closing time on a late May Sunday afternoon, we were welcomed in as though we were the first customers of the day. The seating was a little cramped and still busy inside. Really enjoyed the coffee and cake, which set us...up for the journey home.More
