I had heard great things about this place so after a walk in the waitakeres we headed over and managed to find a table in a very busy day. The beer was great, as you'd expect. I found the service to be excellent. Our waitress was very young but brilliant. Our appetisers were incredibly bland and boring. We ordered pizza... More

Gone are the days of impromptu dinners at Hallertau. You need to book if you want to be sure of a table. Lovely food, but service needs to be more attentive. You'd think you wouldn't have to ask for a second round of drinks in a brewery restaurant! The wood fired spatchcock is highly recommendable, although it could do with... More

Booked a week in advance for a birthday and were seated inside at a high table. The place was packed with families on a sunny Saturday afternoon and they had a live dj which was nice background music but not too much. We ordered a huge variety of food from the menu, pork belly with fennel slaw, pulled beef crumbed... More

Was here for dinner, very nice after the upgrade! The location of our table wasn't the best i felt like the people next to us were apart of our date as well very close... The staff were lovely but were interrupting alot, which for me i don't overly like. The food was amazing and well priced i couldn't eat all... More

Beautiful food, beautiful beer and beautiful wine! A great visit and experience. Staff are also very knowledgeable and friendly. For drinks I definitely recommend the beer tasting paddles - both varieties - pretty good value for money! My food recommend is the jalapeño poppers and flat bread - delicious!!

Great place to eat. Staff very attentive and pleasant. Food great with a good choice and excellent selection of beers etc to try. Seemed to be the place to be as was very busy and we were very lucky to get a table without booking. Would recommend.

Had visited several years before and was slightly disappointed this time. Yes, it is very child friendly with a great kid's menu, but I found the ordinary menu nothing special and quite pricey. The food was very good that I had, but I wont be rushing back a third time.

I organised lunch for 20 for the hubby's birthday which included a lot of kids under 4. The seated area was perfect, spacious and semi private and near to the playground as I requested. Multiple high chairs were on offer and colouring provided straight away. Kids food came out quickly as did our drinks. Wait staff were fantastic throughout! Highly... More

I hadn't been to Hallertau in quite a few years so it was great to go back & see it renovated. We had a table near the playground as we had 3 kids with us so it was perfect. The food was really good, we all were happy with our choices. The food has definitely improved since our last visit.... More

Description
Like with our handcrafted beers, you won’t find any packet-mix nonsense in our kitchen, it’s all about fistfuls of freshness. So fresh in fact we pluck the fruit and veg from our own kitchen garden as much as we can. We bake our own bread and make our own sauces. Our eggs are laid by our free roaming brewery chooks. If you listen, you’ll hear they hiccup rather than cluck. When it comes to natural flavours, there’s no faking it, so we let these dominate the dish. With a range of meals catering for all ages and all times of the day, you can make a booking or simply turn up and we’d be happy to fill your plate.
