Its right in the middle of the haunts of the legal fraternity in Auckland, so my expectation was that it would offer excellent value for money and high quality food. At first I could not quite put my finger on it, but it somehow does not live up to that expectation. The food was good, the service friendly. Perhaps it... More

The lunch menu is good value for money with reasonable portions. The outdoor seating in the chancery courtyard is nice and great for a sunny day! Also good in the evening for a catch up drink with friends

This place is one of the few that serves Sheesha in NZ but it does not compromise. It has Very good Sheesha s. It is a little difficult to find as there are no boards or signs kept outside. Food is mostly finger food and they have good liquor menu as well. the staff is very welcoming. Me being Vegetarian,... More

My wife and I dropped in to Caravan Serai for a quick bite. I had the Shish lamb and my wife had the Vegteriana, a couple of ice cold Heinekens to top it off. everything was delicious and served with a smile.Nice ambiance as well. I would not hesitate to return and thanked the locals who directed us there !

Seated for 6pm so we could make it to the theatre on time. The staff were very friendly and helped make sure we were finished on time. Our party of four all ordered something different and enjoyed everything. The decor is a little more casual than I was expecting but the service and food would have us back again. Great... More

A group of us dined here on a reasonably quiet night, the service was good from the start till the end. We had to help ourselves to a water refill the first time, and then they brought around the jug of ice water. We had a pasta, which was very thick but tasted good. A shish chicken, mixed platter and... More

The group of friends dining at the new Caravanserai all remembered the old Caravanserai restaurant in Upper Queen Street, opposite the Town Hall. It was a rather shabby, chaotic place but the authentically Middle Eastern food was fabulous and you could even take your own bottle of wine! The new restaurant In The Chancery area is a much more up-market... More
