Evan's is our go to special occasion restaurant. We have been coming to Evan's for many years. They have never disappointed. Tonight was no exception. The service is outstanding and the food wonderful. There are several specials each evening as well as special desserts. Yes, it is a little pricey for an everyday restaurant. But, you get what you pay... More

Went to Evan's for the 2nd time and it did not disappoint! I love how it feels like you are dining in someone's home. The food choices and specials are unique and absolutely delicious. They do have a full bar even though you cant see liquor bottles besides wine. Awesome food, even better service!

What a great find! Awesome food! Awesome service! Reasonable prices. The drinks need work as your server is also your bartender.

Candi and Evan created a wonderful restaurant 30 years ago, and it continues to provide a great dining experience to this day. One of the best in south Lake Tahoe. Changing seasonal menu, well thought out wine list, and a refined quiet atmosphere. We make it a point to eat here at least once during our stay.

We eat here 3-4 times a year and it is always amazing. Evans is a small, intimate fine dining establishment. There are 10-15 tables, and reservations are a must, and well worth it. You can look up their menu online, which doesn't usually change. But every time we go in they have a white board of specials; from appetizers, entrees... More

We had reservations here for my birthday. They decided to close because it was snowing (in Tahoe? Go figure) and didn't call us. Turns out their reservationist screwed up both the date and the phone number. And since they don't use anything modern, like Open Table, there were no checks and balances to the incompetence. While there were apologies galore,... More

Was looking forward to the dinner with friends at this restaurant, considering raving reviews. However, disappointed. Menu is impressive, but execution lacks refinement. My appetizer was Napoleon sweetbreads. Had to wait for awhile, when finally arrived, it was swimming literally in the sauce, threatening to overflow the edge of the plate. Of course it was full of cream, tons of calories. The... More

Wonderful little restaurant with great food. Everything is freshly prepared and delicious. Not many tables so you definitely want to have a reservation. Appetizer portions were a little small but tasty. Dinner was great for all .

First of all, this place is a little out of the way from the main area of South Lake Tahoe, so plan accordingly. Also, this restaurant is tiny, so you need a reservation in order to eat there....plan accordingly. That out of the way...WOW. We were simply blown away by the friendliness, personality, and above all, the tremendous food. We... More

The restaurant is actually a house with the front two rooms opened up to provide a large open space. The acoustics are such that you're able to hold a comfortable conversation, even with most of the other tables being filled. Be sure to make your reservation in advance that day or the day before. The server was very friendly and... More
