Enjoyed a really gorgeous lunch in this pub in kilcullen, lovely food and great attentive staff. However, the toilets left a lasting impression! The actual toilet and basins are clean but the doors, under the toilet and general paint on all the pub doors was...appallingly dirty. Absolutely no excuse for this, a bottle of bleach and two hours painting would sort it all outMore

We got married at Fallons in September 2021 after several postponements due to Covid-19. It had already been a favourite lunch/dinner spot for us. Patsy and Brian were great to work with and were very accommodating even though we were having a very small wedding....The venue for the ceremony was perfect, dinner was tasty, and the service was wonderful all evening. They even made sure that everything served was gluten free so coeliac family members could eat without a second thought. Would highly recommend for small, bespoke weddings, especially if you’re looking for something less traditional and more personal.More

I visited here with friends as I heard the cocktails were great, well we were not disappointed. The best cocktails around is no exaggeration and the young lad called Jordan that made them was so polite and friendly it made it a pleasure to be...there. We will definitely be back.More

Pretty good lunch. Nice pub atmosphere with a sparse crowd on a wintry Tuesday afternoon. Service was efficient and friendly. The food wasn’t at all bad either. I had a very chunky and very tasty fish chowder to start which, to be honest, with some...brown bread would have been more than adequate as a lunch on its own. Plenty of fish pieces in a creamy broth was a great antidote to a miserable day outside. For main, I had a burger and, even though the chowder was plenty, I soldiered through and glad I was too. The double deck burger was excellent, perfectly cooked in a brioche bun. The accompanying fries were excellent, or, at least those I had were, as my companion insisted on swiping them to go with her prawns. We lingered with friends over good coffees before waddling out after a swift two hours. For what we got, it was very reasonable too. Recommended.More

Went for a family lunch to Fallons. Myself my wife and my daughter. Complementary bread was too cold. For starters we had 2 seafood chowder and chili prawns. I sent back the chili prawns as were not hot enough. When I got it back warm...was nice. One of the seafood chowder was also luke warm. For mains 2 fish and chips and a Chili prawns. The fish was delicious, the chips tasted like re-heats. Not the standard I expect from Fallons.More

A very disappointing experience overall…Staff were very pleasant but apart from that , the food was really the worst I have had in a long time. I don’t know if we just happened to be there on a bad night but the amount of issues...we had would indicate there are bigger problems here .. Firstly the table was completely sticky when we arrived , this could have been from the antibacterial spray that was being used, as I did see the staff clean down other tables religiously after use, but at any rate , not a good start. I chose the garlic prawns for starters with a toasted bread ..the prawns were way overcooked and fell apart as I tried to pick them out of the bowl…there appeared to be only 2 or 3 prawns there in total but hard to tell as they were all in a mess. The toast was black burnt. I pointed out to one of the staff …the immediately offered to replace it ..unfortunately the replacement toast never arrived. For mains I had fish pie…, normally a fish pie …to me is a mix of fish in sauce with a mashed potatoe covering ,freshly baked .and served piping hot.. this was more like a fish chowder served in a pie dish, with the mash served as a side… maybe this is ok way to serve fish pie, but new to me and definitely did not appeal to me… My partner had rib eye steak which was fine. Desert was ok too…but as a treat I ordered an expresso martini for my partner…it was horrendous…totally watery and appeared to be devoid of any alcohol…I highlighted it (politely ) to the staff member and again they offered to replace it immediately…which they subsequently did…however the next one was even worse…in the end we had to abandon it and in fairness it was taken off the bill…Both of us eat out a lot and are well used to a variety of restaurants and food types and are generally chilled and do not get too stressed out about variations in quality and standards...but I have never ever felt so strongly to write a review , as Fallons has had a great reputation for many years , I was only here once before (a good few years ago) and the food was fine then, but it was an absolute disappointment on this occasion …and not cheap I feel there are some fundamental issues to be sorted in the backoffice here as the front of house staff couldn’t be nicer…but the quality of food and cocktails served was unforgivably bad.More
