Myself and my husband visit Bardons regularly as village locals particularly at the weekend. We find the staff so welcoming, especially Linda who always looks after us (although we haven't seen her much recently which we are sad about) As a pair of self confessed food snobs we cannot fault the food, in fact we LOVE it! The menu offers... More

Was waiting at the bar to be served and the bar man looked at me, then served someone else who just walked up, knowing I had been waiting. Every time we ordered a drink it took about 10 minutes to get it and also had a number of mix ups with our drink orders. We also got overcharged for drinks... More

Having eaten in Bardons 4 or 5 times now and never been disappointed I decided to put pen to paper and write a review. Charming pub, friendly staff but what I'm really raving about is the sirloin steak I ate there for the first time today. It was on par with the nicest sirloin I have ever had. I ordered... More

Love this pub for food, first stumbled accross it passing through kilcullen and have went back many times since. Cannot recommend the food enough! It can be very busy and sometimes you would have to wait for a table but normally there is just myself and my partner and we are always happy to sit at the bar and eat.... More

My recent visit to Bardons for dinner was an utter disaster. It was a busy Saturday night before Xmas when i took a friend out for a nice dinner in what used be my favourite place to eat in Kildare, Bardons. We were waiting one hour and half for a table and we noted locals getting tables before us. The... More

We were passing by Killcullen today and stopped by chance mid-afternoon. The place was busy and we were told it would take approx 25 minutes for a table, but it looked lovely and we decided to wait. It was the right thing to do: the staff was helpful and made sound recommendations - we chose the scampi and the chowder... More

When walking into Bardon's you are getting the experience of an old style country pub. The burgundy walls, classic brass hangings, antique pictures and creaky original flooring gives the authentic Irish feel and setting. To add they even display pictures of the pub back in its hay day. Nicely done!! I have never seen Bardon's empty on any given evening.... More
