Lovely friendly staff, the menu is good and they make a big effort with the specials, I had the monk fish medallions and they were beautiful. Would definitely recommend a visit,
We'd a fab lunch here as a group of 5 friends and 1 baby. Staff were fantastic, food was delicious and seating/space was brilliant. We all left stuffed... seafood chowder, fisherman's pie, onion rings (the size of tractor wheels) and mash with veg for baby....Phenomenal venue... really hope to get back sometime soon! ... pints were good too!!!More
So so disappointed. We normally come here around four time a year or more and would spend a good bit of money and looked forward to this.
Arrived yesterday and waited two hours for mains and the children’s food and it wasn’t particularly busy at...all..we’ve seen busier. When we asked politely what the delay was, we were told the chef was busy..at this point the children were getting unsettled and it had been nearly 2hrs. Again when we asked, we were told there was a mix up in communication? With attitude, I mean come on, very rude and especially to customers that come back time and time again. A “Like it or lump attitude” not nice at all and zero respect for people also he wasn’t wearing a mask!! (The owner). Won’t be back I’m afraid. Also they arrived out with brown bread after an hour and a half...we did not ask for this. Then at the end he said I won’t charge you for the brown bread??? Sorry..it was two slices of bread buttered they put down in front on a screaming baby that we did not request then said we won’t charge you for this!!
Very disappointed as his attitude was awful.
Not good if you’re running a business.

Made a special trip just for this restaurant food not great had lemon sole no flavour at all very oily. Lobster not cooked well chips undercooked. Staff not the friendliest and selection of seafood not the best. Mix up with bill charged 245e when actual...bill 113.More
Lovely lunch - great service and so so CoVid19 aware.
Right from the pdf we could see standards of hygiene were as good as you would see - both during our service and meal but for other adjacent tables that had left.
Food was great...(Smugglers lunch comprising chowder & wheaten with prawns and my wife had cod & prawn crumble) and service 💯.
Refreshing to see high standards across the board from as west as it gets in Europe when dining in Burtonport ... we look forward to returning.More
There are places you go that just make you relax as soon as you walk in, this is one of them.
No airs, no graces, not needed here, you are who you are in a place the serves fabulous fresh food, outstanding Guinness and great...house wines.
Great staff and delicious food, try the Scampi, the Cod and Prawn crumble, the chowder...... Just a great menu and all well presented and served.
Great job Tim and team, thank you.More
Great to be back in the Lobster Pot and as always super food, we have been coming here for over 10 years and yet to get a bad meal! Great show Ann!!

This is a lovely bar/restaurant which does great food. Stick to the main meals though as the starters are small and extremely overpriced. We decided to share wings at and potato skins for lunch. The wings were lovely but very glad we ordered the large...portion. The skins on the other hand were a total rip off! 1 potato (1 decent size half and 1 very small half) topped with bacon and cheese. A tiny salad on side and salsa and sour cream dips. Cost €9.50... for a mismatched potato!! If I were to return I would stick to main meals, even though they are also on the costly side!More
