Pauline and Philip run their own licensed restaurant at White Haywood. It's right next door to their B&B accommodation and the location for breakfast each The Restaurant food on offer each evening was fabulous, real home cooked locally sourced and tasty meals. A very varied menu includes their own beef and lamb, both of which I tried and totally recommend.... More

A bit of a struggle to find the location, but that was down to us, poor planning and sat nav not working - but once we did then were were very happy with our... More

Spotlessly clean accommodation and home cooked food delicious. Had a lovely one night stay and Pauline, the vivacious hostess, was most welcoming and helpful. Beautiful position, restful, calm and inviting. We will be back. Thank you

Had a lovely meal at this restaurant when we stayed. All meals are made with local produce. The converted barn is very cosy and the hostess, Pauline gave us a lovely welcome.

We were the only diners as B & B guests on a Sunday evening. Each course was beautifully cooked, including local produce, and such hearty portions that one of the party was unable to manage a pud! The lemon pavlova met every expectation of a meringue lover. Pauline is a great cook and hostess.

We visited here this month for my partners 40th and loved it! Pauline is so friendly and welcoming and even put a birthday banner up by our table which was a lovely touch! We ordered steaks which were cooked to perfection and tasted beautiful. The birthday boy was still raving about it the next day! We had the house red... More

We visited this gem of a restaurant a few years ago and it was brilliant then. We returned last weekend and can't believe we left it so long, the food is beautifully cooked, plentiful and perfect - proper home cooking. The barn is spacious and the welcome genuine, we will definitely be returning in June.

Pauline's welcome is second to none. She is always cheerful and lively. Nothing is too much trouble! We had walked on the Black Hill and arrived cold and tired. The log burner was blazing and the welcome was brighter still. I have never had a better steak than the one served! Reared on the farm it was succulent, tasty and... More

A group of friends came here on a walking weekend and we will definitely be back when we come again in March 2016! Lovely welcome on the Sunday. Description
An undiscovered and stunning part of The Black Mountains on the edge of The Brecon Beacons National Park but really worth the trip into the beautiful Craswall (Monnow Valley Walk) valley for some truly home produced, home cooked food. The specialities are the farms own Hereford beef & Lleyn lamb dishes, as it is a working family farm where the meat is reared naturally on lush green grass and fresh mountain spring water. White Haywood Farm is just over the mountain top from Llanthony Priory where England meets Wales(Offas Dyke path)then a hop, skip'n'jump through the Olchon Valley to Craswall also only 8 miles from Hay-on-Wye & 17 from the Cathedral city of Hereford & the market town of Aberegavenny.
