Within our stay in Venice we visited Al Poggio two times and in both cases we were fully satisfied. Different dinners from fish, pizzas, pastas etc did not give any reason to complain. Friendly stuff and wide menu full of good meals are a reason why to make stop here again.

They were nice but they forgot our food and threatened another customer they would call the cops on him if he didn't pay with the correct form they wanted (i.e. In card only or cash only). That's a bit to dramatic for us.

Despite hearing that pizza in Venice is the worst in Italy, we decided to give it a go and were pleasantly surprised, actually our capriciosa was quite good. House wine was decent as well (red variety). Only downside is that apart from coperto, they impose service charge of 12 % and these make food expensive at the end. All in... More

Risoto with seafood was extremely amazing! Try it! :-) my girlfriend ordered the spaghetti pomodoro and she found it tasteless.. They charged us for the bread! The cards menu informs you for this charge!

The guy on the door is good at getting you in but the food is average at best. Had a long wait for an outside table which we were promised would be kept for us. The cheap menu of the day on the blackboard outside turned out to be "only for lunch" and they add on an extra cover charge... More

I'm honestly shocked to read so many awful reviews. We are two Aussies in our mid to late twenties travelling around Europe and we found this place to be amazing in terms of their service, food and pricing. After two terrible serves of pasta at other locations, on our other two days in Venice I was very happy with the food... More

Passed here and it looked nice enough. Bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I wasn't overly hungry so only wanted some bruchetta, the waiter asked would I like it mixed and I agreed. I had the mixed bruschetta, tomato with mozzarella, Parma ham and rocket, which I enjoyed but it was €18! My husband had the lasagne and it... More

The staff couldn't be friendlier and the food couldn't be better, or not much better anyway. Big Up to Gianni, a true Gentleman

A trio of three women eating in a restaurant, each had a different meal and each meal was an ooohhh response and not only did it look good but we all tried each other's dish and they were delicious. We returned another night the meals were so good and again the meals were a high quality. The service was exceptional... More
