My friend and I just nipped into a local pub for a drink and a bite to eat after we'd been for a pamper morning at Bindon Abbey Retreat which is situated around the corner. The pub was surprisingly busy and I soon discovered why....More

I was not disappointed with my first visit to the restaurant at the black Bear in Wool on Tuesday evening. I found the staff very friendly and welcoming, and my steak meal was delicious and Cooked exactly to my request I could not fault it....More

The Black Bear hosted an evening meal for our party of 16 with good grace and humour. Great waitresses who put up with the idiosyncrasies of our group ranging in age from 3 to 84. Good food, good wine/beer - would definitely go back -...More

The Black Bear is one of the most friendliest pubs I have known. The food is excellent pub fare and the beer is always the best, being a free house the ales are changed regularly to give everyone a chance to sample some rarer brews.

Such a kind review thank you so much. We try hard to keep the real ales revolving. Thank you Melanie

We celebrated a wedding anniversary with local friends and family of our son-in-law. Excellent presentation, great location, food was wonderful, and the party the best!

Nice little pub serving food. The staff here are extremely helpful and provide service with a smile. Just outside of Lulworth Cove area so easier to get a table. Has a small outside seating area and limited parking.

Best pub in the village in terms of atmosphere - decor a bit tired but lots of effort made. Felt at home and food was great - perfect pub food but also up-to-date - tasty and well presented.
