It was the last night of our holiday and we had pre-booked to eat here because of the great reviews. We weren't disappointed. An extensive choice of starters and main courses all seasonal and lots local. The service was efficient, friendly and unpretentious. Good choice...of wines and the food was excellent. Would love to have this restaurant closer to our home in Kent.More

Whilst on holiday we left the teens at home and went as a couple to this restaurant. Unfortunately we received a call as one was sick. The reason I share this was it meant our meal was rushed. That said the food here is very...good. You couldn't ask for more choice of fish. All food is freshly cooked. The staff give you plenty of time, space and attention when necessary. For me the restaurant was a little dark, my husband liked it. All hygiene procedures were followed. We didn't have desserts as we had to get back, but they did look lovely. We'll recommended.More

This place is know to be something special... I really don't know why. Yes, nice food, but it should be for what they charge. Service was ok, again nothing outside what you would expect.

Booked for our anniversary as a special treat on our weekend away. The food was all absolutely delicious, beautiful fresh seafood and fish perfectly cooked. The service was absolutely spot on, thank you to Ebony our waitress for making this a great experience. Sorry we...couldn’t leave a tip as we didn’t have any cash but everything was spot on and we will return and encourage others to visit also.More

Second time of eating here and must say even though it was over a year since we were last here the high level of quality of food and service remain the same 4 starters from crab to mussels were brilliant there was a good choice...of mains but we all decided on the halibut which was very good. I only wish this restaurant was closer as we would be he more oftenMore

Me and my partner had a meal out here during a family holiday. The location was good with some good spots to walk after eating and ample parking at a local pay and display car park. The food was terrific, we both had 3 courses...and everything tasted amazing. We had patè and scallops to start both tasted very fresh and homemade. Swordfish and lobster for mains, with the lobster being the nicest i had eaten. Pudding was cheesecake and chocolate pot, both very rich but a perfect way to finish the meal. Will definitely return if we are in the area and would recommend for seafood lovers.More

We visited Bure River Cottage Restaurant with friends for my birthday on 21st October and had an excellent evening. All the food was delicious and perfectly cooked and presented. My husband had the mussels to start and said they were the best he has ever...tasted (& he’s had a few). Three of us had the baked Cromer crab with chilli, ginger, lime & coconut which was amazing. I had the halibut which melted in my mouth. The vegetables which accompanied our mains were so good I asked the waitress how the carrot purée with carrot ribbons was made and have recreated it myself at home. A splendid evening!More

Our understanding is that this is a specialist fish restaurant. We don't recall any non-fish dishes on the menu.
