We really enjoyed our dinner at Le Taitu. We had driven by this cute, little local spot many times as we stayed at Mont Vernon last year and again this year. Some people by our pool told us to give it a try and we are so happy we did. It was smaller then I expected but just adorable, with... More

We have been going to Le Taitu for about ten years. We've only done dinner, so we can't speak to lunch, but if lunch is the same quality as dinner, I'm sure it's very good. The menu is a nice balance between traditional French and Caribbean Creole dishes, and between seafood and non-seafood. There's something for everyone. The atmosphere is... More

We walked to this restaurant from our condo for dinner on our first night on our trip. The restaurant is small and tucked away in a corner. Nothing fancy until the food comes.... It was so delicious. I had the mahi mahi and it was perfect, hubby had the lamb shank. can't stop raving...then for dessert, I had the creme... More

A gem! We've had several lunches at Le Taitu and loved every one of them! They have a fixed price menu at lunch which includes a drink, entree and coffee for anywhere between $14 and $18. Well worth it. Portions are just right and the service is great.

Wrote my first review of Le Taitu two-three years ago; want to repeat what I said then because we are on the island for nine weeks every year and visit Le Taitu once or twice each week. Briefly, you cannot go wrong with this restaurant, it's food, presentation, variety ( French creole), service, and atmosphere are excellent. This is not... More

During my recent vacation on St. Martin, I had the pleasure of dining twice at Le Taitu. The first time I went it was for convenience... the place is just down the road from my condo. The second time I went was to support my new friend, Jean, the owner. In both cases the food was wonderful. Perfectly cooked maigret... More

There is a great entree-coffee-drink combo that is one of the best values on the French side here. It's a bit tucked away, but not too hard to find. The restaurant itself is small, very open, and gives a gorgeous view of hills/lakes during the daytime. However, the best part was the FOOD! We came for the lunch special and... More

I was really hoping for something amazing based on the reviews. Some reviewers likened the place to those restaurants in Grand Case. I wouldn't. First, I never got a reply to my request for a reservation. No biggie. We didn't need it. The website stated that they opened at 1145 for lunch. We were told when we got there early... More
