Genuinely beautiful food and lovely service, the mussels were perfect, the chicken and Brie was supreme and the puddings were light and tasty.

took my elderly mother here for a little treat. Owner was very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I ate from the set menu and Mum ate from the a la carte, all food was good quality, delicious and piping hot! I will definitely visit there again.

Have had a couple of breakfasts and lunches here. Always a friendly welcome from the owner who makes you feel at home. Veggie breakfast is highly recommended - big and tasty! Visited in Feb 2017 with husband and 3 teens for lunch and again, very good, proper home cooked meals, nicely presented. We hadn't booked but just got there in... More

Really lovely meal where every course was delicious. The owner / waiter is really friendly but not in an over top way. He and his wife run the place (wife is chef). The food was a bit different to the normal and every course superb. Particularly recommend the cheese souffle and bread and butter pudding

Always good service, good food and atmosphere coupled with sensible pricing for honest fresh food sourced locally and prepared to order unlike most of the boil in the bag restaurants.

Four of us ate from the table d'hote menu. Such good value, portions in this menu are such that you can actually eat three reasonably sized portions.. So much better than vast plates of main course spoiling any thoughts of dessert. Such quality food, lovely ambience, attentive courteous owner and staff, all round good night out.

We visited the Herb Pot on recommendation on a recommendation from the owner of a local B & B ( The Kingswood Cottage). A fantastic evening and the owners; Alan and Shelly, couldn't have made us more welcome. A real fuss was made of us and the food was exceptional and such good value for money ( and it really...
