It has taken me almost thirty years to eat here. Every time we called in they were either too busy or closed. We decided to book a table for lunch and had a drive on a sunny winter afternoon. Pleased we had booked as the place was very busy, we had forgotten it was half term. I had sausage (local),... More

Stopped in for a bite to eat after a walk at the Ayres so we had built up a good appetite. Happy to say this was more than truly satisfied. Varied menu with a board full of specials, lovely food, great sized portions and served by friendly staff. We will return for sure.

We haven't been to the Grosvenor for years, but will be going back again and again after today's experience. The new landlord and bar staff made us welcome and offered a large range of really good pub grub. We went for the homemade chicken, ham and leek pie and the omelette, both of which were superb and the chips were... More

The Grosvenor Arms has always been good but now under new management it is excellent. We went recently and the food was exceptionally good, The bar was lovely and warm with a log burner providing a lot of atmosphere, the beer, always important with my husband, was according to him, really good and we spent a leasurely lunchtime enjoying a... A definite cut above the average country pub with little to criticise apart from the somewhat jaded décor, although I have no criticism to make of the cleanliness. This minor blemish is more than made up for by the warmth of the greeting that meets you. The menu is frankly enormous and could easily be trimmed by a half or... More

On average, we eat at the Grosvenor at least five or six times a year. Being vegetarians, I suppose we could be described as somewhat fussy about what we eat. However, we never have a problem here and find that the food is plentiful and well presented. Coupled with local draught ale and guest beers, an open fire during the... More

The portions are best described as generous and as such good value. You need to book as this place is very popular with local families and friends. I will happily be back again soon.

Visited the grosvenor for Sunday roast with my boyfriend. We had eaten here once before and really enjoyed it. The food was faultless with good portion sizes and quality meat and veg. The big downside to this place is the staff. The waitress was very young (nothing against this) who was being dictated to and huffed at by the rather... More

Huge steaks, pick your sauce, highly regarded locally. I can recommend the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. Worth a visit.

Attended a small family function with about 50 people in the function room of the Grosvenor. The room was absolutely perfect for the occasion, very clean and well appointed. The food was an excellent selection of very generous portions of both hot and cold buffet perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The staff were extremely friendly and customer focussed, well done,... More
