We had a very good meal here in this pleasant restaurant in the little village where we stayed a few nights. The owner was very helpful, spoke perfect English to help us translate the menu, and gave us good advice. We enjoyed delicious pasta and steak, with an excellent chianti, and it was very reasonable in price. Would definitely come again. Thank you.

We had very nice evening in this restaurant. It was recommended by our guest giver and we wanted try it out. The food was delicious ,the service speaks English and was very helpful. Make sure to not skip desert since they have many delicious options. Overall we had a amazing experience visiting this local restaurant.

we were with my wife to celebrate our anniversary and I must say that the choice turned out to be the right one, in fact in this typical Tuscan restaurant the food is really good... both the starters and the first and second courses are really well cooked and presented with care, in addition to the desserts which, handcrafted by them, truly reach the top!!! All at a very low cost in my opinion and also the courtesy of the owners is to be underlined.... a must try!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in the area and I heard that they were opening a pizzeria. I didn't have much time so I took the opportunity to get two takeaway pizzas... honestly, after two terrible experiences in other restaurants (always takeaway) I finally ate an excellent pizza, living in Florence. I ate it cold, but it was delicious even that way. Well done, an excellent start and many compliments to the pizza chef! Well-leavened dough and quality products.

We were very disappointed with our experience at the restaurant for a number of reasons. Firstly the food was incredibly overpriced. One of the group ended up with a plate of chicken and crisps for a meal as the waitress had misunderstood the order. The portions of risotto were tiny and left the two who had ordered them very hungry. The pasta dishes were completely average and nothing better than something you could cook up for yourself easily at home. It took about 10 mins for the waitress to bring over Parmesan when asked. The worst part was waiting for 20 mins for the bill and we had to ask for this 4 times between us. The hostess who wrote up the bill was incredibly rude and ended up asking us to leave without paying as she said she couldn’t understand what the problem was. All in all, quite a disaster, even if we did get a free dinner. Would not go back and would not recommend.

We care a lot about the experiences of our customers even if we know that it is not possible to please everyone. We believe that any comment, even negative, could be useful to improve. Your case is an exception. Let's go with order: Personally when I go to a restaurant I order two courses (a first course or a starter and a second course) often accompanied by a dessert. When I am not very hungry, I order only one dish. If the two who ordered risotto were very hungry why they ordered only risotto??? Total bill was € 90 for 6 people (€ 15.00 per person). Do you really think you can get a whole dinner in a restaurant by spending this amount ???? We are not a fast food. When the bill was brought to you, you accused the waitress of raising prices compared to the menu. When she took the menu and showed you that your accusation wasn’t right, you asked for a discount claiming a too long wait for the chicken. When she reminded of having warned you at the time of the order that having an express kitchen to cook a chicken it takes 20/25 minutes you claimed to have the right to a discount because you had waited too much for the bill…. At that point we asked you to leave without paying the bill and never return. Our restaurant is open since 1963 and this is the first time that we hope a customer will not return ...

We had a lovely dinner here, menu had heaps of choices, we decided to try something different from pastas tonight. Partner had the pork shank which was the better choice with honey glaze and I had the sirloin with potatoes and salad, which was on the rare side of medium/rare, both very nice meals. Chianti was lovely too! Unfortunately no room for dessert!

The people were friendly and the restaurant had a nice rustic, authentic atmosphere. The outdoor seating area was good and the candles and fairy lights added to the atmosphere. It felt like the menu offered authentic provincial Italian food, and included rabbit and cows brain. Some of the dishes ordered by other customers looked good, such as the steak and meat platters. Unfortunately none of the family enjoyed the main course that they ordered and were unable to finish their meal (apart from my youngest child, who is a fussy eater, so we ordered plain pasta - charged at the same price as the other pasta dishes - i.e. full-price). I had a very greasy pasta dish, with bright yellow cheese sauce, that tasted like a powdered packet sauce, topped with fatty, greasy pieces of bacon rind. My son had an equally greasy pasta dish that tasted like paxo stuffing. My husband had a fried dish, which he partially enjoyed but said the fried rabbit was just grissel. We felt like we couldn't complain because although we did not like the food, we thought this was how it was meant to be - it was just not to our taste. The desserts of ice cream and strawberry tiramisu were good. We had eaten a delicious lunch in Milan with a view of the Duomo and the price charged here was equivalent to that in Milan. I'm sorry to have to say that I would not recommend this restaurant - it would be better to eat in Florence which is just down the road.

Dear Madam, thank you for your review. Criticisms is not pleasant but always help to improve. I sincerely believe that you have chosen wrong dishes for your tastes. We cook for our customers only first quality ingredients, like our handmade pasta produced with sustainable, fresh and genuine products, but if you order macaroni with saffron and pork cheek it is normal that you get on the table pasta with a yellow color (it is saffron!) and fatty meat (it's bacon!) .... In your case I am also sorry that you did not express your doubts during dinner, in this case we could change your dishes and help you choosing something closer to your tastes Perhaps asking is more useful than just envying the satisfied people at the next table ....

We came almost at their closing time to be greeted and welcomed very warmly. Had a great Tortelli Alla Chiantigiana and Braccioline con Patate Fritte, Fritto Misto con Pollo e Coniglio e Verdura Mista! All was great, but moreover they were very nice in taking care of us! Would highly recommend....

This is a very nice restaurant in a small town of Villamagna that is perched on a hill near Florence. Great views of Florence on the way up to the restaurant (or back from it). The restaurant seems to be quite popular with the locals -- it was more than half full on a weekday night. The food was tasty and reasonably priced. If you are nearby, good option for a meal.

The setting was charming at this Trattoria with good food and excellent service. The waiter and owner were very kind and took the time to explain the regional specialities. The patio is full of blossoming jasmine so it was a really lovely setting at night. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you at in the area. Also I booked via Trip Advisor and received 20% of our bill which was great.

I've been coming here for many years, and it's a lovely intimate tuscany restaurant on the hills souh of fFlorence ingredients very fresh, pasta home made, and you can eat under the veranda which, in summer time, is a pleasant experience. Exceptional the Fritto ( mix of fried meat and vegetables in season , a must!, including the rekniwn veal- brain, a typical dish in this area. Price with a good bottle of wine € 30/ea

We found this by accident after leaving a tourist trap restaurant and what a find. Its a small charming family run restaurant with both excellent service and fantastic food. The staff treats you like family a definite can't miss in Florence hope to make it back there again before we leave

We were staying in Bagno a Ripoli, and were recommended this restaurant, which more than lived up to the recommendation. Although the main set of tables outside were all booked, they fixed us up a table lower down, which was less characterful as it has the noise of the kitchen. However, the food was superb, every dish, and we all cleared our plates avidly. The serving staff were so delighted with our enthusiastic reception of the food, they knocked a chunk off our bill. The first time that's happened to us! Worth booking a table before travelling (we'd tried, but couldn't get through). All it needs is a view to complete it.
