Enjoyed lunch here in an old very interesting 'real' pub. Local Cheddar cheese served with warm crusty bread. Sat outside in the sun watching the world go by.

We often come to The Lamb for lunch after going for a good walk. There is always a warm welcome, good food and good beer. Each day has a special deal it seems and daily specials board.

We visited here on two separate evenings. Service was great, despite being very busy. Fish and chips, fish pie & veg and streaks were all fantastic. Would definitely recommend.

Old fashioned coaching inn dating from 1480, with the expected smattering of traditional beams, fireplaces, and traditional accoutrements. The Lamb is the focal point of the town, situated in the heart of the square, and opposite the famous King John’s Hunting Lodge.
