No, this really is not a typical Slovak cuisine. Immediately upon arrival we noticed that the hygiene was horrible. The air was full of cigarette smoke because the entrance is a smoking area (the non-smokers area is further in the back), it was dark and...the whole building was cooled only by two fans. The menus were greasy and just generally nasty (see pictures). The chairs were disgusting, along with the walls which were littered by dead flies. We had to wait approximately 15 minutes until a server came to us to take our order. The food was full of artificial flavor enhancers (glutamate) and salt. Even though we were starving, we just couldn’t finish our portions. When we tried to pay, we had to wait another 5 minutes standing at the counter, completely being ignored by servers who were walking past us. By the way, the servers shamelessly adjusted their bras right in front of customers. We understand that being a server is a difficult job and that sometimes you need to adjust your clothing but this should be done in the kitchen in private, not in front of eating people. All in all, a pretty bad experience.More

Ok portions of typically Slovak food, prices fine. The place is a bit dirty, lighting could use improvements, as well as decorations and humble furniture but overall it's enjoyable. There are cute rabbits in cages outside so you can say hello to them. Luckily they...are not on the menu...More

If you are around, stop there for big slovak lunch, we like their simple kitchen, big portions, nice deserts, cabbage soup, beer, very nice staff. Their interier is in tradition oldtime style, nice terasse. Is very good for quick lunch but also family occations. This...restaurant provide catering for our wedding, everything was top! In Smolenice- village near by is nice castle and cave.More
