Trade routes used to intersect here and all wayfarers always found here pleasant refreshment and accommodation here. We continue this old tradition and in the quality and scope of our services we wish to provide you with the possibility to spend pleasant relaxing moments in this attractive place. I used to really like the food here, there were even things done with food here, that I never seen before :) , but now it is sort of average, you can get the same dishes they serve here in any good restaurant. The worst thing tough is the service, we go here maybe 2 times a year and for at least two years, each time we have some problems with they waiters being rude. We dont have these problems anywhere else :)

We have orderes 8 simple meals and wait for half and our.
Other tables were served sooner than ours.
On the other hand we were sitting in stylish and nice garden. Staff was friendly.
Food was good as well homemade lemonades.

It's a beautiful place with a castle view, a garden for children and a natural swimming pool !
Good staff and good food for a nice moment in family or with friends.

Pomalá a zmätená obsluha, zdĺhavé čakanie na jedlo. Pri objednávke rovnakého jedla (rizota) sme dostali dve rôzne verzie pokrmu. Pekná lokalita pri beckovskej ruine.
A chaotic staff which resulted in tedious waiting for our meals. When ordering risotto, we recieved two versions of the same dish. Nice location right under the Beckov ruin tho.

Poor service. Overpriced food. We have been waiting 45 minutes between soup and salad. Soup was cold and salad soggy with dried chicken. The quality of the food was below average. Not worth the visit.

Very friendly staff, warm and friendly welcomed, great location Nothing to much for these guys to sort in good English amongst most staff. Rooms as quaint as expected but with mod cons included 🙌

Called in on the off chance that food would be available while on the way to the Hrad Beckov - very, very surprised to find the food was excellent. All the food was beautifully presented in a nice restaurant with good service and friendly staff - all at very reasonable prices too... On top of that you have the bonus of being just a good bread roll throw away from the castle...!!!

I have been to restaurants all over the world and I have never seen the waiters refilling wine bottles with left over wine, re corking them and putting a new foil top on to sell as new. This takes poor hygiene to a new level of low! Apparently the owner wants to save money!!!! If this is what they do in the serving area I dread to think what happens in the kitchen.

Dear Customer LEEARA7 - PROCESS OF MAKING FAKE BOTTLES FOR PRESENTATION. First of all thank you for your review. To get things on the right way. What you have seen in our PUB is the preparation for our wine list change. Every year we are preparing new wine list for our customers with fresh new wines, new kinds of wine and new production years. While our supplier does not have any FAKE BOTTLES of new wines in our wine list PORTFOLIO and we want to present our new wines in our wooden wine commode in RESTAURANT we are making our own FAKE BOTTLES of new wines so that we can present them 24 hours a day - IF WE WOULD PUT ORIGINAL BOTTLES WITH WINE IN THE COMMODE DUE TO THE LIGHT AND WARM SURROUNDING CAUSED BY THE FIREPLACE INSIDE RESTAURANT THE WINE INSIDE THE BOTTLES WILL ROTTEN WITHIN FEW DAYS - therefore we are making our FAKE BOTTLES FOR PRESENTATION which a common thing in such case. Therefore you have seen our Restaurant Manager in the process of making FAKE BOTTLES FOR PRESENTATION.
Let me tell you that we are a 3 star Hotel with 11 year history and me as the head manager and owner would never accept such things as you discribed in you review. Such employee would be fired right away if something liked that will happen. Hygiene in ou hotel is on a top level and we are working hard every day to keep such level at all times and keep our perfect reputation nor even improving it everyday. I hope I explained this situation clearly enough so that you dont have to write such reviews without previous explanation.
Sometimes it takes only one question to clear the situation up.
Many things are not such as they look alike.
looking for your next visit so that you wont have such bad opinion and look at our hotel.

Very tasty food. Try to take dinner or lunch outside, on the terrace to look up to the castle, to listen hawks and blackbirds. Beautiful view.

Following an advice of our friends we were looking forward to visiting Kuria Beckov. Impressive location, but unfortunately that was about the only positive thing we could say about it.
Waiters not responsive at all, we had to move away the dishes left on the table by the previous visitors. We waited more than 10 minutes and feeling ignored by the waiters we left greatly disappointed. We will definitely not call in again.
In a local pub nearby we got a perfect service with a smile. What a shame!

During a recent visit to Slovakia I went to visit the magnificent Beckov Castle that stands on a major rock outcropping overlooking this restaurant. The setting is amazing with a water feature at the base of the rock, the castle some 200 feet above, and the restaurant offering wonderful views of it all. We had lunch before our walk up the hill to the castle, but unfortunately the lunch did not provide the same inspiration. The food was good, particularly the soups, salads and pasta. the kitchen fell down when it came to more complex dishes such as the one I tried: bacon wrapped pork cutlers with potato pancakes, green beans with garlic. Well, the cutlets were not cutlets but a hunk of meat that was overcooked and tasteless as was the bacon. The whole plate was covered in a kind of brown gravy that added no flavor to the dish and served to make the potato pancakes soggy. The green beans were overcooked and covered in raw chopped garlic. The only saving grace was I got to steal some French fries from a friend's plate, which were absolutely marvelous. I would recommend that you go but keep it simple!

We (2 adults and a child of 5) - visited the pub part of the restaurant. When we came at about 12:15 there were people at 2 other tables, so the waitresses had practically nothing to do. They noticed us anyway just after 10 minutes. The table was dirty with remains after previous guests. We were informed that the daily menu was sold out at 11:30. Surprise, but OK. They offered to prepare the omelet from the daily menu and it was good. We wanted a children portion of soup for our daughter, waitress explained that is not offered, so they served her big portion. For some mysterious reason the carrot in the soup tasted sour, otherwise the soup was fine. Well and after about 40 minutes from ordering we asked about the risotto that my wife ordered. The waitress was surprised this time: “What risotto?”. Well she served two main dishes to three persons and the restaurant was still half empty, so I really cannot understand, maybe the weather was too hot. This way or other, next time we will probably avoid this place, which is pity, because it looks nice and the potential of the location is surely good. Looks like they are missing some good competition...

One of our favourite place in Slovakia. BBQ ribs is excellent. If you are going in summer time the garden with the lake and with the rocks are breathtaking. If you are going in the winter time I suggest you to try the sauna which is inside of the cliff.

Te quality of food was really outstanding, very taisty and delicius.
Prices for standard daily manu are lov, prices for a la card are higher, but as I said , the quality was excelent.
