Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We came for familly(4 adults) dinner, we ordered only goose (88eur) . When we ordered via phone they had action on web 2 beers for free( please check my attached bill, what in this restaurant means free). They served us as a starter goose liver...(were there first time so we think the liver is included in goose). But at the end we received bill with goose for 88euro and liver for 75.60 but worst was that they tried convince us that we ordered also liver .. I highly recommend you before start eating to check what is included in your order. Also i would recommend you check side dish order at restaurant because in pricelist they dont have it (when you get bill you will understand why i recommend this). For example 21euro for 2 portion of cabbage but at bill you can see 7 portions.. To summary food was good but the way how this owner want earn money its absolutely insane...More

We were a group of 4 and ordered a whole Goose which was absolutely delicious. I’m not use to this type of meat but certain pieces were lean and a lot of pieces were fatty, and the skin tasted like bacon. We ordered two appetizers,...a bottle of wine 25€, 2 sides, and 2 dessert for 178€ which I thought was pretty pricey for what it was but it was still a great experience and I will recommend it.More

The location is lovely, interior with beams and wooden tables and a very pretty garden. Service was efficient and warm, a bit old style but it goes perfectly with the atmosphere of the place. Traditional food was fantastic. Heartily recommended!

As I am a group leader, couple of weeks ago I was in this restaurant with a group of approx. 30 people. We were sitting in a side building (not the main one), in a separated room with extremely low ceiling (approx. 2 m) and...it was overheated. Typical menu: Cheese soup in a bred (tasty), goose with a cabbage and loksha. Overall ok, skin of a goose was crispy (what is nice) but EXTREMELY salty! As there was a lot of women in a group, we were not able to eat everything so I asked a restaurant staff to pack the rest of a food (goose, cabbage, lokshas) to take it away. Big surprise came in the late night when my clients became hungry again and wanted to have some "bites"... They opened a package from this restaurant and.... NO GOOSE, just cabbage and loksha!!! So, I have very strange feeling about this restaurant...More

This is one of the famous goose restaurant in the village. Liver was tender, fantastic and goose was very good. Service was fast and kind. Perfect place for company dinners and to show something different to visitors. I would recommend to keep restaurant in traditional...style and avoid things as electrical fireplace giving so cheap look in one of the room. Overall rating - very good.More

The village of Slovensky Grob, in the foothills of the Small Carpathians, has hundred plus year old tradition of goose rearing. The lakes, marshes and rich pastures around the village are ideal. One of the most popular restaurants to enjoy the local goose is the...Restaurant U Zlate husy, whose tradition reaches back to 1973 when it was founded. The menu, written in several languages, is short. There are a few dishes that are non-goose related, but this restaurant is all about geese, so don't come here expecting a diet food. The recommended starter is goose liver with pickled vegetables (gherkins, cabbage and peppers). One portion is 200g (two portions were enough for the three of us). Or you can go for the excellent goose broth with noodles, meat and vegetables. The main is obvious - a roasted goose. One roasted goose is recommended for 4-5 people - we managed to eat one just between the 4 of us. It is served cut up into 8 or so pieces in a clay pot. Not all pieces are thick with meat - some are just bones tho. The smallest portion you can order is half a goose. The side dishes are potato pancakes lokshe (two per person) and red cabbage (three portions between 4 of us). They have a good selection of local wine. The waiter recommended an excellent bottle of ryzlink rynsky (Rhine riesling) from Černy winery, which we enjoyed immensely. The bill came to 176 Euros for two bottles of wine, one roasted goose with all the trimmings, two soups and some soft drinks. The service was professional, fast and attentive. However, I would prefer more warmth and friendliness to feel appreciated as a guest rather than to be one of the hundreds of people they serve every day like another "piece on the conveyor belt/assembly line". The building doesn't look like much from the outside, maybe it is just the shade of the green colour, but is a lovely place once you step across the threshold. There are two dining areas - one in the modern annex with glass walls and the older more traditional in the main part of the restaurant. There is a small grassy yard with playground for the kids. This family run restaurants delivers on many levels. Once they learn to provide little bit of customised TLC to their customers, it will be exceptionally good. Come hungry and leave stuffed to the brim. Top notch goose feast location. The best in Slovensky Grob.More

Taken to this restaurant when in Bratislava for business. Traditional Goosefest meal. Superb food, wine, pear spirit, and service. Owners even took us on a tour afterwards. They're rightly very proud of their restaurant and have entertained some very famous people over the years.
