I have visited Al Faro on two occasions. First visit order from dinner menu nightly special. food was good nothing special to write about. well prepared and tasty. Second visit decided to try pizza which they are known for. Outstanding! I will say the best pizza I have had in Aviano area. Great crust fresh ingredients. A couple of the... More

We always stop here for a pizza when we can as they have the best view and the most interesting pizza dough around the area. Try the nettle dough pizza with some local salami topping and you won't be disappointed. They have also a great selection of home made desserts and cakes worth a try. Service is a bit 'rustic'... Al Faro is situated up a hill from Polcenigo. It has a large terrace with a great panorama view. The food on the other hand is average. Not worth driving a long distance to visit.

Endless variety of pizzas with the freshest ingredients. The chef was handpicking herbs when we arrived. The view is amazing and the food is even better. Truly impressive. Make a reservation or go very early, otherwise you won't get a table.

I dined at Al Faro a few days ago with my husband. The food was good and so was the beer, but we will never go back there due to the extreme rudeness and impoliteness of the owner's wife. She should take a customer service course ASAP! I hope the owner is reading this: please teach your wife some basic... More

Absolutely LOVED this place!! Excellent FRESH food and delicious wine. Very reasonable priced for what we got, actually one of the best values I've had since living in the area! Great service and very kind and friendly staff! I adored the view and cannot wait to return many, many, many more times!!

Very Very Very Good Pizza with myriad combinations to try. Many Specialty Craft Beers to try as well. In the summer you can sit outside and see the entire valley.

Great food and great atmosphere. Owners very warm and welcoming. Ensure that you take cash, as they do not take cards. Very reasonable prices.

Once you walk in the restaurant you feel at home automatically. They have both Italian and English menu's where the quite knowledgeable waiting staff speaks both also. As for the food, I can only speak of the pizza due to it being so good I can't bring myself to order anything else. They also have a nice stock of local... More

Mezzomonte is a small village on the foot of the Alps. A word of warning: our GPS took us one route that was impassible for our small car -- rocks, ditches, roots, sand, etc. There was a paved road but it took us some time to figure it out -- make sure you are on the paved road! It starts... More
