Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My sister and I had worked up an appetite after a long walk in a nearby woods and couldn’t believe our luck when we saw this lovely cafe open on Sunday evening at 4.30. We met a lovely lady who I assume is the owner at the door and we’re so thrilled when she told us she was still open for the next half an hour and we didn’t feel at any stage that we had to order something that was quick and easy as it was obvious even at that time of the evening nothing was too much trouble. The late lunch with the nicest creamiest coleslaw was yummy indeed and it was great to see the place was still busy also. The decor is stunning and there is plenty of room both inside and out to eat. The waitress was also very bubbly and friendly and my sis and I felt like VIPs even though we had never been but will defo be back for sure.

Stopped off in Mitchelstown on way down to West Cork for a quick bite. And we definitely not disappointed it’s a lovely cafe with takeaway and sit down options too. We opted to sit outside in a lovely courtyard area. The menu is varied, loads of options my children opted for pancakes and myself and my husband opted for triple club sandwiches yummy great portions. I had a glass of locally sourced Apple juice which is available for purchase in the cafe. I loved the fact the menu shows all locally produced ingredients or products. The wait staff were amazing although busy they didn’t get flustered and took the job in hand in their stride. A great stop off and will definitely be back. I envy all the locals who get to enjoy Blueberries all the time.

The staff here are lovely helpfully and friendly even though they can be busy. I ordered an americano for outside but didn’t want any of the gorgeous sugary muffins and cupcakes on display, however one of the girls suggested half a granola bowl with yogurt banana and raspberry, it was perfect, how did she know! Well done Blueberries, always a pleasure.

Everything from start to finish was terrible. The place was absolutely jammed packed, tables jammed in on top of one another with not enough staff to cater for them. Service was slow as a direct result of this. Ordered cappuccinos and got lattes, the coffee was burnt when it eventually did arrive 20 mins later. Ordered crispy bacon and regular bacon came out & the “toast” we got was merely warm, soggy bread. The scrambled eggs was dry and like something from the microwave- absolutely awful. Not to mention the place was swarming with flies. Will not be going back.

Ordered vol-a-vent chicken & mushroom with chips & hubby had Cornish pasta & salad. Both were starter portions and really good. The sauce on the vol was gorgeous. We had pot tea and it was great value . Well done & lovely staff

I have visited blueberries many times and it goes from strength to strength. The absolute best brunch and breakfast I've ever had and their smoothies are unreal. The girls that work there are great and I will definitely return there and can highly recommend

Best Breakfast I have had for ages. Would definitely make a detour here again. Staff were amazing and friendly. I just wish I could take a photo of insta quality to justify the excellence of the breakfast. Sadly, my skills are lacking so please accept an amazing review for a great feed. Ps the kids loved their pancakes too!

Heading to Kerry for holidays we stopped here for lunch today. Wow, amazing food and the friendliest staff ever. The five of us had different options and we were all pleased with our food. The seating area out the back is very clean and pretty and we would love to have had the time to read the Sunday papers and relax with a coffee. Well done and thank you for a lovely lunch. Can't wait to call back for one of your delicious cakes. Kate and family

Stopped here for brunch. Had the smashed avocado and bacon on sourdough. It was delicious and a generous portion too. The staff were very attentive and I had the most amazing brownie to go. Would highly recommend stopping off for a bite to eat here.

We had been to the caves and drove into Mitchelstown. Pulled in on the street and parked outside this coffee shop. We were served by a friendly and polite young lady named Molly. Lovely coffees and Scones. If we are up that way again we will call here again.

I stopped here for a quick bite of lunch to get off the motorway on the way to Dublin from Cork. I had the veggie spring rolls which were grand...a good big portion. What made the visit was how lovely and friendly Maoli the waitress was. I hope her boss reads this and is paying her well!

We heard about Blueberries from our daughter so we stopped in for lunch or soup. The food is delicious, the prices reasonable and the staff friendly too. The vegetarian stuffed potatoes with salad and the soup were all delicious.

Had a very tasty gluten free club sandwich. It was a triple decker including bacon and chicken breast, tomato, lettuce, etc. So yummy. Very friendly and helpful staff.
