The food is spectacular!!!! It's authentic as can be! The drive up Ferentino is picturesque and breathtaking. The menu is beyond affordable, the staff is welcoming and the space is absolutely adorable.

Dined at Trattoria Consolare on our recent visit to Ferentino and was served an excellent meal at an extremely reasonable price. They are closed on Mondays as are a lot of businesses in Ferentino so call for hours. They speak very little English (we speak very little Italian) but they helped us through and had a wonderful relaxing dinner. The... More

We were driving to Rome and realized how hungry we were. We originally were going to stop at another restaurant, but were concerned about the reviews. We are so glad we went a little further. A late lunch with a huge antipasto followed by amazing pastas with 2 glasses of wine came to 36 Euro. Super delicious food, fabulous service... More

Hidden in a little side view in the Ferentino village on top of a hill, but every single person you ask knows where it is. Food is not only awesome, the rooms are gorgeous, vaulted ceilings, looks like a cave, no heating in winter but small heaters are spread around the different rooms. Menu is very interesting, mainly featuring local... More

Our Italian relatives took us for dinner to Trattoria Consoler in the historical center of Ferentino. The food was excellent and included some local specialties. We had a sampling of appetizers and first courses and that was more than enough to eat. The owner Amedeo(Matteo) was welcoming and speaks very good English as the menu was not written. He uses... First visit to Ferentino - discovered this excellent Trattoria - - only criticism that would have preferred a written 'Menu del Giorno' instead of the waiter explaining what they had ready.

We go here every time we're in the area which is a few times a year. Gorgeous settings and really amazing food with unusual dishes that you won't get elsewhere. The menu changes according to the seasons. I would highly recommend the mixed antipasti, just be aware that it's a lot of food! Amedeo and his charming son Tommaso are... More
