In a world of Soya Lattes, Gluten Free Non Diary Anti Celiac nonsense...One Gem remains loyal to the good old Greasy Spoon.... No airs or graces, the Border Cafe is a breath of fresh air....It quite simply is what it is and I love its...honesty and heartyness. If you want a good old fry up, fish and chips or a burger and a can of coke, you will get it with a smile and a good price. Th staff are friendly, the food is exactly how it should be and it hits the spot on those days when you need food that sticks to your ribs and arteries.More

worst fish and chips ever, served by unfriendly staff, fish was burnt black on the outside and as dry as stone inside, would never return

Great place to stop for something to eat, friendly staff and homely surroundings. The all day fries are brilliant and you will never leave hungry. We eat there on a regular basis and have never been disappointed.
