This is one or possibly our best restaurant that we go to. It is the type of place you do not want to tell your friends about because you want to keep it for yourself. We arrived on Saturday the 21/1/ at 7pm on the off chance that we could get a table for the three of us. Unfortunately the... More

My Husband and I stumbled across The Village Inn last weekend when taking a drive to Falkland Palace. The Village Inn is beautiful little place and a fine example of an old British pub. It has been done up inside but still retains much of its charm. The food it extremely high quality! We were both quite blown away by... More

Spent 3 nights staying here over new year as attending a wedding locally, it probably wasn't our usual choice of accommodation but it did come recommended and we loved it. The rooms are lovely, fresh, spacious and clean and our front room had a great view of the agricultural land round about. "Friendly" sums the Inn up perfectly, Owners, Staff... More

Our family went to Pitlessie for Christmas dinner for the second year running. It was great as usual. The staff are extremely welcoming and made you feel like VIPs. We went away highly satisfied and full up!

Stayed here on 5th / 6th of December and was amazed how high quality the whole experience was. The rooms are big, warm, bright and have great bathrooms, the meals where really good and the welcome top class. The owner is an interior designer and it really shows upstairs, I have no doubt that when the downstairs refurbishment is complete... More

We came here for a large group meal recently. The food was excellent, everybody enjoyed their meal. They seemed to be a little short-staffed, but it actually didn't affect our meal at all. Service was prompt and nobody was left waiting for any of the courses despite us being a large group. The room we were in was a perfect... More

Called in today and we were 45 minutes before food service started at 5pm but were made welcome and we sat down at a table. Whilst having a drink we were told to order when we were ready, I took that as the chef was cutting short his break time to cook our food. The wife had the soup, pea... More

Been here a few times with my parents as i live in london now and go here when I'm home normally for lunch. Very disapointed in the service very slow and the food was not to the same standard as visits before nearly 40 min wait on starters. and pricing needs o be looked @ a little out the box... More

Firstly, the facts. You were in the restaurant for a total of one hour and ten minutes. This can easily be verified by our electronic till system. During that time, you and you parents had drinks, three home made starters, including freshly delivered / prepared scallops (at £7.95 - Try finding that in London), three mains (including two freshly prepared... We visited on 21 October for a group meal, and speaking strictly about the food, it was fantastic. Delicious meal, and everything was cooked perfectly. The atmosphere is lovely; with a fire roaring in the background, and the small pub gently buzzing with locals - very cosy and welcoming. The only criticism was the service. While one young member of... More

Popped in for Sunday lunch and it was mobbed! Got the last space in the car park. My risotto with sun dried tomatoes and asparagus was absolutely delicious and I cleared my plate. Downside was that I was far too full for any dessert. Husband flattened the shin of beef which was 'melt in the mouth' and followed it with... More
