Staying in the area had two great meals two nights running. The food was great, on second night live music in the bar.

Had a lunchtime drink here and, despite a lukewarm welcome, decided to book for a weekday evening meal. Welcome not any warmer and food very bland- including the pies. Much preferred The Ship Inn in nearby Axmouth.

My boyfriend had dinner here over bank holiday weekend. We were staying in Colyton but it was worth the little drive. Great food and cosy atmosphere. My steak was cooked to perfection. Recommended

The Wheelwright was able to find us table with short notice. Food and beer not bad, fair price and very convenient. Might try one of the music nights.

This pub was recommended to us. The food was delicious and portion sizes good. We went as a family and we're treated well. We'll be back.

We popped in without a booking on a Thursday lunchtime. The service was attentive and friendly. The food was good. I'd definitely return. So much better than some of the big chain pubs in the local area (Beer and Branscombe).

Definitely dog-friendly. Been here twice over a period of 3 years. Staff petted our two dogs and gave them dog biscuits.
