(This review is for the Cafe only.) The V6 Ranch, and Parkfield Cafe, had been on my radar after reading about them in Sunset Magazine. So last week while on a road trip from Northern California to Santa Barbara for a family wedding I decided to take a small detour to check it out. Yes, Parkfield is pretty much a... More

Dropped in on the off chance as "passing through". Great fun. Cheerful. Good looked brill but so busy with local Harley Davidson groups did not bother. Mistake as fifty miles to next food stop!

And it's the only restaurant in Parkfield. Initially it looked like we were going to have a great experience. We received our drinks right away, and we placed our order shortly after that. Most of the patrons seemed to be ranchers, and the atmosphere was easy going and friendly. We ordered a Chicken Chipotle Sandwich and an order of "Rumble... More

Our family arrived late during a rare rain storm on the darkest of nights. Actually it was after closing time. We had been in contact with the owners during our wild goose chase, GPS isn't what it aught to be. We left the High Sierra's at about noon and drove to Parkfield. This is a quaint small town. The only... More

I can't say this was one of the best burger I've ever had but probably 'the best burger' I've ever had.

Well worth a stop for the delicious grass fed beef. We only went to Parkfield to check out the "earthquake capital of the world" and didn't really expect a cafe to be open, especially on a Sunday, so it was a pleasant surprise. I had the tri-tip steak sandwich and it was sooo tasty! The meat was juicy and tender.... More

Closed a little early in the evening but the burgers are the best in California. On a lunch time we ate a portion of the park field fries with a grill chicken and chipotle sandwich, the portions are generous enough to share and pack in plenty of flavour.

Taking a day trip from the Bakersfield area to visit the self-proclaimed "Earthquake Capital of the World, we enjoyed our stop at the Parkfield Inn & Cafe. Both the beef burgers and the chicken sandwiches were excellent and delivered to our table with fantastic service. As the fries got cold, they did leave something to be desired, but they cooled... Literally, the BEST hamburger my husband I have ever had. The grass fed beef, the seasonings, the bread - all added up to the best burger EVER! We've stayed here twice now, but the cafe isn't open every day so we missed out on this burger the first trip. Going to make sure we time our visits so we can... More

In the past we have loved making the drive from San Benito County at different times of the year down back roads and stopping for a burger and beer. I guess when you are the only game in town, you are OK with serving bad food with bed service. By far, it was the worst burger we have ever had... More
