Having taken a wrong turning saw a restaurant and decided to try it. Great choice. Warm welcome excellent food. I had magret de canard with orange and side dish of roquette and potatoes. Wife had same with side dish of bolet mushrooms. Daughter had pork with red berry topping. Accompagnied by the local beer which was also very good. Finished... More

We were staying in a hotel nearby and this delightful little place was suggested to us and thank goodness it was, the sort of place you dream of finding, the most beautiful drive in early evening sunshine to reach it, unassuming from the outside, but from the moment you enter you feel a welcoming presence. The food was outstanding, freshly... More

Excellent homemade food with local ingredients. Excellent service and ambience, too. Was taken there by a friend who grew up in the area. Homemade pasta with truffle slices, not just bits of truffle. Jim H.

i eat out a lot! This is one of those experiences it will be hard to forget. Nesled in the middle of the Marche region not far from Umbria, on the way from Ancona to Rome, you find a gem of a restaruant. Extensive menu, all local grown, hunted or gathered produce at its best. Good selection of local wines... More

Following a visit to the nearby Grotto caves we were handed a flyer to this restaurant (and another two, in the car park). So glad to have chosen this lovely hilltop restaurant. Service was excellent as was the food and a meringue dessert to die for!! Best Italian lunch on this trip. Highly recommend if in the area. Very easy... More

After a morning at Frasassi caves, we were searching for a restaurant for lunch and everything appeared to be closed. We met a lovely woman in the parking lot who recommended Da Maria and we are so glad we gave it a try. Warm family atmosphere, fabulous local food including fish from the lake.

The drive up to the Da Maria is spectacular... The friendliness of the place and the food were both outstanding... A real treat of authentic traditional no nonsense Italian cuisine... We loved it. Excellent value... Thank you 😀

When visiting Frasassi caves, or the new "Parco Avventura" on the river Sentino, take a break and go eat at "Da Maria". You will find local cuisine at its best. I would recommend "antipasti misti" and "pappardelle al cinghiale". If not enough, go for a "grigliata mista". After all of that, have a walk nearby. You would have earned it.

Located in wonderful surroundings with spectacular view down the valley, they prepare fantastic food. The selection in the menu has several local specialties and the truffles of season is always represented. The raviolini with truffles was outstanding!

This was an amazing dining experience in a beautiful mountain-top village. We asked Gabriella to tell the chef we felt as if we had died and gone to heaven after eating our three-course meal. We started with Fonduta Assortita (assorted cheese fondue - plain cheese, mushroom and minced truffles). It was better than we could have ever imagined. For our... More
