Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We really struggled to find a place to eat in that area as we arrived later than planned but the Larkins fitted us in (despite there being 12 of us!)
The food was delicious (we had the stew, bangers and mash, homemade burgers, fish and chips, caesar salad), and the portions were generous.
The owner who served us was very accomodating and provided excellent customer care.
The prices were also extremely reasonable.

My family and I stayed in some local cottages but spent three of our five evenings having dinner at Larkin’s pub. They seated us at a table well away from everybody else and we were served the most delicious food each evening from a very good menu. Also, the staff were incredibly generous in spending time recommending places to go and things to see. Would highly recommend.

Our family (couple with teenage daughter) stopped in for dinner here. It was lovely. The pub is a cosy, old school place. Service was very friendly, and the food was delicious. We're hoping to go back again soon!

We had a pretty poor experience there. Staff was unwelcoming and not smiling. We would have been ok with that if the food was good but sadly it wasn’t. They were out of many things on the menu and the ones we took were simply not good. Waste of money and of our evening.

We simply wanted a comfortable and welcoming place with good pub menu at reasonable prices rather than the more expensive pub restaurants elsewhere locally. on pour first night we tried the local and found a gem at Larkins.
We were impressed on our first visit with the warm welcome excellent service, good pub menu and great food. We returned two more times durin g the week. chosing different main courses and deserts. Each time the main courses were excellent and the deserts delicious.

My mom, two brothers and I spent two nights at Larkin’s b&b. On the first evening, we spend the night playing cards at a table in the pub while the Chelsea game played. To our pleasant surprise, once the game concluded, a group of musicians pulled out authentic Irish instruments and began playing with one another. Two women took turns singing the different Irish tunes as the pub quietly listened. Our card game ceased as we listened in awe. The owner, Mike, told us that we had stumbled on a special occasion as this group only plays on Wednesday’s. I’d say the word ‘special’ is an understatement. It was magical.
In the morning, the staff served us a delicious authentic Irish breakfast and spoke with us about everything and were particularly helpful with recommending things to do as we continue across Ireland.
Though we were out in Dingle the next night, the next morning we experienced the same hospitality during breakfast and were even gifted an unused piece of Guinness ‘bar merchandise’ as one of my brothers was looking for something Guinness but was unsatisfied with what he saw in the shops. The staff kindly offered us something they were not using.
I highly recommend Larkins. The atmosphere and hospitality is excellent. We will definitely be back.

We had a lovely stay at Larkin’s B&B. We had a good sized familyroom for four and it was nice and clean. The breakfast menu was perfect and the staff very patient :-) The owner Mike was extremly friendly and made us feel very welcomed.

Not a busy place and we were very lucky that the owner also chose to eat at this time. He was a very firendly fellow and we enjoyed the oppurtunity to talk to him. The wait staff, like in most of Ireland, was exceptionally friendly. Food was very good and we had our best stew of the trip here.

We visited Milltown as a big family group to visit where my Grandad grew up, see the places he visited and to meet up with family. Larkin’s was a big part of this as my Grandads family home remains in the square and he worked at Larkin’s bakery. This was where we ended up most nights. Due to storm Brian some of us arrived late and the staff were very accommodating to us all ensuring we could all have a hot meal. We also made use of the upstairs room for our family reunion where they put us on a great spread. It is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere and fabulous staff who treated us like family! The food is proper home cooked, fresh and tasty. Thank you for making our week so fabulous we will definitely be back for a visit!
