We have been visiting le Cochon Dingue for a few years now and every time, we are satisfied. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. Place is always packed with locals so it has to be good, right? Service was fast, only downside was we got the invoice as soon as we we were done with our meals.

If food rich in flavor and aroma is your thing, this is the restaurant for you. I ate there five times this last week and enjoyed the best breakfast in town, luscious lunches and gorgeous dinners. Scrambled eggs whipped to perfection with a rich bechamel topped with an intensely pungent Charlevoix cheese; crepes stuffed with duck; cranberry bread dunked in... More

we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated on a Sunday noon time. I expected a wait as we went to the location in old Quebec and there are a lot of tourists. The only downside to the place is that it seems quite small and it was hard to wait in line for our table with our... More

The place was jammed for lunch--clearly popular with tourists. I only had the clam chowder and a glass of wine. The chowder tasted like it had been made with Elmer's glue--pasty, thick, not awful tasting but certainly one of the worst clam chowders I've ever eaten. The wine was fine, as was the service. But I really can't figure out... More

Being located in the heart of Old Quebec, this place was perfect for our family to protect ourselves from the freezing cold outside and to have a savory meal. Their steak and fries is an excellent option, their beer options work fantastically for tourists (several local beers are offered) and the kids menu left our two children (11 and 5)... More

We visited this Lower Town restaurant and had a great meal and at a decent price. Started with delicious crab cakes and then a chicken and noodle entree for me and beef souvlaki for my husband. Portions are not huge but tasty and fair for the price. Service was good even though it was busy. Would definitely recommend a reservation... More

We started out sharing a margarita which certainly was the worse we have ever drunk. It was warm and sugary rather than astringent. For an appetizer we shared deep fried dill pickle spears which were okay. My wife had an oriental chicken salad which she liked. I ordered a mushroom pasta. The sauce was made of mushrooms and beef broth.... More

Had a quick lunch while sightseeing in downtown Quebec. The decor is basic verging on rough and ready but food and service good. This is a young people's place, providing that you are not expecting sophistication it's fine
