We love this restaurant. Please order table side dishes. We had a Ceasar salad, a sirloin, shrimps and we ended with Crepes Suzettes. If you speak French, ask for Guy. He is a great experienced waiter and you would love talking with him. It's a...More

A wonderful French restaurant of old with incredible table side service and an impeccable customer-first ethic. I had Dover sole which was gently warmed table side as it was deboned. My husband had a medley of seafood all expertly prepared and served with warmed garlic...More

I love old restaurants like this where the waiters wear tuxedos and many of the dishes are prepared flambé at table side. HOWEVER, while my husband's filet was spectacular, my Dover Sole (68$) was tough, tasteless, and barely warm and both our vegetable side plates...More

This was on of the best restaurant experiences I have ever had. My granddaughter and I had lunch there (not as expensive as dinner but the same quality of food, service and ambience). We felt as if we were in the finest restaurant in Paris....More

One of my absolute favorites in Quebec City. I love the elegant dining and enjoy having the meal prepared at my table. Service, food, and setting is perfect. We ate there twice in a five day visit. Steak is the best. Dover Sole is great!

Okay. We might have gotten off on the wrong foot to start. Early dinner reservation taken to a table for two near the service station. I don't know why they do that? Wasn't necessary and we were dressed nicely. Restaurant not busy at all when...More

Sorry for the delay in responding. No, jackets were not required. There were also some guests who were quite casual.
Trip advisor lists it as vegetarian friendly. What vegetarian options are on the menu? I eat dairy and eggs but no beef chicken or fish.

There is a fantastic chain of vegetarian restaurants in Quebec called Le Commensal. It would be much less expensive alternative to Le Continental. Not as plush but if you're concerned about where your food comes from... More

Total EnjoymentIn the gourmet world of Le Continental, traditional cuisine is classical. Enjoy the perfect service, the great flambéed dishes that pay tribute to the delicious French cuisine. The Continental's wine cellar is most impressive with its board of famous selection of French, Italian and American wines. It offers a choice of more than five thousand bottles, four hundred different varieties from Grands Crus classés to affordable prices.
