On our visit to Quebec City for Carnival, we stumbled onto this nice little cafe right by our hotel. In a city full of restaurants, this was the only one that we returned to in our short trip. The food, nice Quebec/French cafe fare, was excellent and on our second (and regrettably last) visit, the owner recognized us and chatted... More

The soup has no taste main meal wasn't to bad. Tourist trap to me. Don't forget to bring Canadian cash they don't have credit card machine and they don't give you the right discount. Nice people

We (2 adults/2 kids) ate nearly all of our breakfasts, some of our lunches, and a few of our dinners here. The food was solid, dependable, fresh, consistent, and very good. The french onion soup was among the best I had in QC. The smoked salmon excellent. The breakfasts were basic but delicious. Add to that the reasonable prices (which... More

On a cold morning I look forward to a hot cup of tea but unfortunately this place doesn't serve any. I also asked for my cheese and tomato croissant to be hot but rather disappointed with a not so fresh croissant and barely any cheese in it and definitely not hot. I'm giving a 2 rating because My husband enjoyed... More

We tried the special Chateaubriand, which was served at the table. Very good service and a good selection of food and wine.

A quaint little breakfast spot. It's a little cramped, but has a quirky, charming interior. The service here was friendly. The menu offers a fair variety. And the prices are decent for a tourist city. Most of our orders were fine, but one of our group was served soggy French toast. If not for that one dish, I'd have given... More

Overall it was a good experience, but I think the price overall was a bit high for what we get. However, the environment was great and the servers were very pleasant.

I read reviews before we traveled to Quebec City to scout out points of interest & restaurants. When I came to the Cafe de Paris restaurant the reviews were mixed but what I found interesting and amusing were the responses of the owner....they were hilarious. Talk about someone who lives in the past and never learned from his customers experiences,... More

Located on Rue Saint Louis, the restaurant seems to cater primarily to tourists. Extensive menu, but the food was pretty average. Wine is rather high priced. Beer selection is limited. They did have a musician playing in the various rooms and a nice candlelit atmosphere. However, there are better choices in Old Quebec.
