This was a different experience for us! We walked into a neat retro kitchen with old board games and video games! The kids LOVED it! I liked all the old decor. Menu was brief maybe 5 choices. All around 10.00 Canadian. Wine and beer list very small. The food was very good though they did not make it right in... More

This restaurant has a very unique decor, worth going. The is just as if your in your grandmas home. Good with a great price. I would and will return to this place.

After reading the reviews I thought I was prepared. This establishment, however, is outside any dining experience I have ever had. The menus was, indeed, brief. But the food was very appealing. The limited menu is directly related to the limited cooking are -- which is behind the bar. The images you see are what you get. It is necessary... More

A shopkeeper recommended this restaurant to us. We walked from Old Quebec - a healthy walk with hills (use the elevator going back up the hill!) The inside was very 50s, diner style. Menu written on black board. Not many ( 6 or 7) selections, but food was tasty and very reasonably priced. Loved the sangria - never been offered... More

This is a place I keep coming back to. Dirt cheap for the huge plate for home-made food you get. Nice to encourage a local endeavour. Usually very good service, good music. Always fun to play a game on the NES there or some of the vintage board games. Would recommend!

The food was good and really did make you feel at home. The price really put us at ease, as well. For several days, it felt like every meal in Quebec City was going to run $50 or more. La Cuisine was a welcome change. As described in other reviews, the ambiance is much like a real home; I'm reminded... More

Even if it is called the kitchen we found food average, with little choice and average quality, but very reasonably priced. It must be even more lively than when we went if you have students in town, but it was already nice and noisy with plenty of games you can play and creating a good mood if you want to... More

What a place! The chef (young guy in a cap) was on view all the time while he prepared the food before your eyes. And he never stopped! From the many local beers, wine, food, atmosphere, everything was a pleasure to be savoured. A different type of dining experience, a place to meet friends for a meal, or for couples looking... More

This is a small local restaurant. The menu is not so extensive but you could find something really good to chose. I took the Beef to the beer, a really good pick. The service is good and customized (the owner is there and takes care of the people) The only "minus" I found, the music a little bit loud.
