Stopped at this trendy bistro and had the luxury of sitting at the bar surrounding the chefs. Watching their attention to detail while being extremely busy was amazing. The lapin with risotto 5 stars++ as I have never had rabbit that tasted so good before. Service was excellent. Menu changes daily with fresh, local ingredients. A must stop - you... More

This restaurant is of the modern type with a limited but well prepared and tasty. Very tasty. The ambiance is nice with soft music and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had a steak (bavette?) which had a nicely seasoned caramelized onion sauce. The veggies on the side where perfectly cooked. My partner had the risotto which was light and... More

I'd give Bistro B about a B -. Not bad, not great. Its a nice space, and the food was good but not memorable. To be fair, the waitstaff was very good, and the desserts were good. I would not return unless I was in a pinch.

In Montreal writers from outside Quebec tend to recommend l'Express, while locals go to Lemeac. Same idea here: great spot overlooked by food writers, but patronized by locals in the know. Perfectly executed, unfussy and delicious dishes in a convivial setting. What more could you ask for? Watch the young team put it all together in their spotless open kitchen.... More

My boyfriend and I went there on a Friday night. We had no reservation and the restaurant was full, but they offered us a spot at the bar. The staff was really nice, the service was perfect, drinks were delicious, but the food was okay. For the price, we were expecting a bit more... Overall, I do recommend this place... More

For me there is only one excellent meal. It is the one that is so wonderful that at the finish of it, I take the sharp knife I used to slice through the meal, and then glide it across my wrist with the bill gallantly paid and the tip large enough to praise the service and deal with the mess.... A real pleasure to dine here. We had been looking forward to visiting having read about them in a travel review and we weren't going to let a foot of snow get in the way. He food was delicious. We split an order of oysters and a wonderful strip steak. The servers were over the top accommodating.

The restaurant offered a good atmosphere, and the food was good--as was the wine selection. There were five of us, and we ordered more appetizers than main courses, all delicious.

We were advised by the Dominion Hotel staff that the restaurant offered great food at reasonable prices and was off the tourist beaten track. It was very full which is always a good sign and so it proved - we had a thoroughly spoiling evening. I would highly recommend it

Our tour bus guide recommended we visit establishments on Rue Cartier to experience local fine food. He was right on target! We enjoy the fact that the menu is planned around the availability of fresh produce, fish, and meats. Everything was delicious and well-presented. The patrons are young and energetic as is the atmosphere. It is a treat to watch... More
